So, how many of you had mid air collisions? I had once inadvertently hit a balsa trainer with my profile SPAD... The impact was on the side of the trainer's fuselage with my engine nose hitting it. the sound was like a blast...The balsa trainer went down like a plane shot down swirlling down to ground.. My SPAD recovered with just a broken propeller... And all this happened when I first brought my wife to see me flying!!.. ;D ;D

I have witnessed this only once, and it was strange that only those two planes were in the air at that time :o I mean talk about all the available space !
another interesting crash... engine still running after the crash

Oh yes, when mine occured there were also only two planes up on air... Man!.. the probability next to nothing to hit that tiny plane there.

These type of crashes are well known in the heli world, with the appropriate nick name : "the chicken dance" ;P
Here is a great flight, followed by a chicken dance... from one of the best heli 3D pilots in the world. Yep, the pros take so many risks, that kissing the ground is a routine thing for them.

i saw 2 helis fly into each other when we had the airshow/ Rc demo at chennai last year. 3 choppers were flying simultaneously and 2 were involved The rotor of the bigger chopper litereally CHOPPED the smaller one to shreds.
The rotor blades of the bigger one were damaged, but it landed safely.
2 weeks ago there was a mid air at chennai. One plane flew thro the fuselage of another. one crashed, the other limped in for a landing.

Have hit a dog once while flying low and fast on my control line Great Gun with a 3.2 cc diesel. One wing (the one which hit) came off and somehow landed the thing as there was not much of altitude left
what happened to the dog ;D ;D
poor dog must have taken a good blow
