I want to know that at a time in one parcel what amount of goods can be shipped in India and ithout and customs problem..??

My friend says that no parcel should exceed Rs 10,000. Otherwise the customs will ask for ICE number. ( import license )

Please clear my doubts in this.. :(

Hi,

It all is a matter of luck and chance. I Have had packets of value 15000/- INR delivered to my door without customs and on other occasions  packets worth 600/- have been charged duty

Customs is not value dependent here in India, it is more 'Mood' dependent, the mood of the custom officer.
Best way is keeping value low for small items like electronic stuff etc and kepping value @ 100% for big goodies like plane kit etc...

So once and my first order from HK was of $145 which got stuck with customs and had to pay 3k to take it.. But i got a valuable information from a insider guy. He said if parcel is small like a small box or something just keep the costing within 2k, so in this case even if they are caught they wont be charged custom as under 2k u r allowed to import. But for a big parcels like a plane or something keep costing around 3k-4k, so if you are caught you will be charged custom on difference amount ie. if parcel is 4k then 4k-2k = 2k customs will be charged on 2k which is 600 - 800 rs

This is working for me, and till now i have imported goods in number of small packages under 4k

Aww, come on dont be pessimistic.
No government officer will change it just by seeing the post.

i had ordered 50$ quad from banggood and got delivered in 19 days.

No custom duty.

Reason was simple - the quad is wifi so no transmitter was inside hence small packaging and they mentioned only 14$ value on the package.

I have imported a HPI Baja 5b kit version (No Radio.) from the US without a problem;
I paid customs duty and was shipped via DHL.
Its value was about 900USD.

So just make sure the shipping company insures the parcel so you can claim it in case any mishap or loss along the way.

Hope this helps.
Have a nice weekend.

Its good to have a govt officer in ur friends list..and preferably in the family...and preferably an IAS officer....just make a call and the damn custom office will clear it and expedite it to ur address.

Satya sir is correct that keep parcel small and also keep price lower than 2k
But if you buy rc stuff we have mostly all stuff more than 2k even a flight controller is around 8k(Naza)
So how can you deal with that
So here is mine experience
Recently I ordered rctimer motors worth 20k but rctimer guys declared $28 only so my parcel arrived safe and sound within 3 days from honkong
My other parcel is in Delhi custom now and I hope it will be cleared before you read this
So ask the seller to declare less than $30 on the parcel also place order in such a way that size looks small.

And leave everything on luck
