Absolutely right, the urge to keep building and not focussing on what really takes skill and effort - flying. Somehow ppl tend to focus on that next new model or parts that they want or going to buy. Thats surely going to kill the hobbyist in you. Just take a step back and examine how well you fly and how well you have perfected the art. And you can never give up. There will always be that step which you have not reached yet. And it goes on and on.

Bull-crap :giggle:

YOu are saying that because the place u stay has access to all those, easier said than thinking in others shoes  :P

Even I carry my stuff in an activa and its difficult to pursue on that front as well anymore. As I said, the fun Iam getting from this hobby is a lot less that the time and effort I invested on it. Mostly coz I stay in bangalore. Its not like I am not trying my best!

I have seen some examples of the same in Bangalore itself ;)  Not naming names !!!

In the days when things were tight, the model was carried on a shoe string (yes literally). With a 40 size model assembeled, and twine/velcro loops around the wing I carried it backpack style on my cycle and ocassionaly on dads bike. Do you get the idea? With the undercarriage pointing away and the models top on your back.
Another bag hung from the handle bar contained the bare minimum tools necessary and a bottle of fuel. The only saving grace was I did not have to go far as the local airport had free access and people were known.

Agreed, People go to any extent to fly RC  :salute:. But taking planes/Helis for 25 KM minimum is a pain on bike, and just a risk of breaking the wing due to air blowing as we ride the bike. As I said, before I opened this thread, I have tried/done almost everything!

Not much interested really! Other wise I would have owned one. Its time to buy a real car now, just got the LMV license, problem is No parking space in front of the house! No I need to change the house to buy a car  :o . To add to this Jakkur director is causing additional problems  >:(

Dear Vinay,
Perhaps this guy could sort things out, He happens to be the Greek God of Flight - Hermes, but I guess you would have to explain the RC perspective to him first

Dont worry man, there is always light at the end of the tunnel..................
or maybe, do I hear a train coming in  :headscratch:
