Hey all,
Since I am using this forum from time and I am loving it. Using this, I found that when I post any link of R O B O M A R T (without spaces), it changes to (sp4mm3r) in the place of that word. Is it a bug, or just for fun.
I am posting a link and see what happens:
https://www.sp4mm3r.com/buy-quadcopter-kit-online-india

Now www.r,o,b,o,m,a,r,t.com without commas
Www.sp4mm3r.com
See ^^😂😂😂
sp4mm3r
^^^ 😂😂😂
Try posting any link in comments and see magic.

It is not bug.
If any LHS, misuse the forum by spamming, the admin makes their domain name to sp4mm3r.

So is this the spammer?

Search sp4mm3r in RCI. You will get some more.

I think admin takes action only after repeated violations.

It's down since yesterday. I wonder what happened. I had placed a large order.

I've always had good experience with robo mart. The first time I placed an order, I got a text message within 15 minutes saying that my order was packed and 15 min later another message saying that it was shipped. I received the package 2 days later.

Hope it's back up soon.

This is a feature of the forum.

Unfortunately from time to time, an LHS or a member gets over enthusiastic, and starts creating threads that rightfully belong in the "For Sale" board in other places.  If this is done by a novice, we let is slide, and warn the user.

If it is done by people who have been active on the forum for a while, we take action immediately... like temporary bans and blacklisting words/domains.

We derive no pleasure from being forced to take these steps, but with already vocal complaints being raised against too much commercial activity on the forum, the last thing we need is the front page flooded with "For Sale" posts.

Thankfully, this is a very very tiny minority though.

Permanent, until we reverse it.  And we do reverse it on request, based on clear undertaking from the owners that they will abide by forum rules which are for everyone's good (and to maintain both the sanity and sanctity here).

This seems to be temporary. I am not seeing this sp4mm3r for all time 😜

Anwar, you are the only administrator of this forum? No moderators??

See the list of "Users logged in the past 24 hours" at the bottom of the front page.  You can identify admins/mods by color code.

There are more admins, but some of them have gone inactive.  Probably time to add some more. It is just hard to identify people who consider both perspectives before taking action and as much as possible leave personal preferences out of decisions :(

EVERYTHING has two perspectives !

I agree. I have been in other forums too like toms Hardware and Overclock.net. Some moderators be like take actions if anyone hurt them or if anyone goes against them. Everyone has their own views and everything has two perspectives. And admins or moderators should see all perspectives, before taking any action. I also have seen some new forums destroyed completely because of some new noob admins that gone wild because of some decision, another was on cs server, a new admin was added with us and he gone wild because he was not able to play or something and then he started banning all players :facedesk:. Still I found this forum clean and spam free all the time because of people like you. Great work. :hatsoff:
