Interesting concept. Could save a lot of back & forth mailings. Only thing is you have to involve PayPal or something similar so that there is no backing out by a buyer

  I totally disagree with any such implimentations. The forum is basically meant to help each other than to make it a commercial fish market.
Bidding Simply means to supress weaker.
There will be no difference between this site and other commercial sites.

Bidding will mean guys with money to spare get what they want and students without money are left with nothing.

+1 with Abhay. I think this would really spoil this place. Bill, you are an experienced flyer, tell me ANY US/German/British/Russian/Czech RC Forum which has this 'Auction' feature ?
Such things are better done at sites like e-bay, which cover the buyers.

I would also request Anwar to create a new category "Seller' fo 'RC Skills' for members with purely commercial interest o this forum. I think people like Sujju/Sanjeev have two login to keep thier Hobby and 'Seller'  sides separate.
