can or do we have a system where in a vendor can post ads permanently at "for sale" section ?? like a small online shop with in rcindia n the thread can be update with available products,literature,video,news,stock availability etc.....n the buyers can place an order by PM or E-mail the vendor

Isn't that what is happening already ?    For sale posts are permanent, you can keep posting in the thread to update it, and buyers respond exactly the way you said !

can the thread be locked permanently on the top or made as a sticky

you know the ads that we see at rcuniverse etc oh the Featured Ad! stuff.

That would have to involve the seller doing the forum some favor in return for giving preferential treatment to their ad !  That is the kind of stuff we want to stay away from.

b/w i was only thinking this kind of system would generate some income to forum for sustenance some thing like that,you are right it might bring up unwanted plague n harm open source/freedom of the forum never though about that
