For the last few days I've been seeing only blank space where videos posted by members should be.
Even the link is not visible.
Occasionally, the videos become visible, later they vanish.
I mentioned this on the RC Bolt thread, and maahinberi was kind enough to pm me some links.
His mail was one long blank page, followed by the links right at the end. After each link, it said
(Embedding disabled, limit reached)
Any idea what this means?
(Am using an iPad2. Able to see videos on youtube etc. The problem only occurs in RC India)
Grateful for any help. Thanks
Iyer can you please tell me by which mode your using internet sim or wifi ??? :) then maybe i will be able to solve your problem :)
Regards,
Aman.
We have embedding limits of 4 videos per post, and 50 videos on a page.
What is more interesting is if you are the only one affected. Can you tell us of a thread where you are experiencing this right NOW ? Then we can check if we can also reproduce the same error and investigate the same.
Broadband/WiFi.
Yesterday night speed was about 1.5 mb
Oh i see means you get fast internet thats good but it also happens with me in my mobile a lot of time i see it through my galaxy trend but sometimes i can not see the videos link because of slow internet so check your internet connection :)
@anwar sir,
You fixed it even before replying to me. Amazing!
Links are visible now where they were not till a few minutes back.
Eg,
Your favourite non RC videos
RC Bolt
Etc.
Thanks a million. Hope it lasts.
I have no idea how that got fixed :headscratch:
Aaaaaaaaall izzzzz well, anyways !
@anwar sir,
By the way,
earlier (till Nov) I used to get the videos in the thread itself.
Now I get only the link, and that has about ten blank lines space both above and below.
Thats great !!!! :)
I was messing with the settings. Should be fine now.
@anwar,
Gone again.
No video, no link. Only blank space.
(Current speed 1 mb)
Nobody else seem affected. Are you logged in ?
Yes sir
Does this happen to you from any other machine, like a PC ?
Am out of station, so no access to my laptop or desktop.
Will phone wife to check.
Will report in one hour.
Eg,
In "RC Beginner videos",
Link visible in reply #12,
But not in #18,19,20
@anwar
Checked laptop in Indore.
Videos visible.
So it seems to be problem in the iPad / RC India interface.
What program in the iPad are you using to access the site ? Can you use alternatives (Chrome, Safari, Tapatalk) ?
Using Safari. iOS 7.0.4. No change on reboot.
Videos working on sister's iPad. OS is iOS 6 or 7. Not yet updated to iOS 7.0.4.
So seems to be a problem related to iOS 7.0.4
Helle anwar sir I would like to say that Ipad uses its own browser You know Safari , If you want you can download Tapatalk,Opera mini,Chrome is also available for that but Safari means the ipad own browser is the best one ;) :)
Tons of people use Chrome instead of Safari as their primary browser on iPads/iPhones (including me), but that is completely different discussion.
I think you should check your settings and try an alternate browser, just as investigative input at least.
Hey iyer try Opera Mini It is great it is not a java browser but it is great i use it on my phone and if there is any video posted it directs you to the website, Once you click on it or the app in you ipad if you have it in your ipad . :)
@anwar sir,
Will do.
Thanks for all the trouble you've taken.
Regards
@anwar sir,
EUREKA!
After 2 months of not getting videos on my iPad, was watching them on wife's laptop.
She asked why i was not using the iPad. Told her the problem.
So she took the iPad and 2 minutes later:
VIOLA......
Videos visible on iPad!
{:)} :hatsoff:
What did she do? Switched it of and on again. Seems she learnt that trick on some forum.
(Maybe now i can let her fly my Tiger Moth.......)
:o
or just get tapatalk? It plays back YouTube videos natively. ::)
@anwar
@rcpilotacro
Remember RC Aunt solved the videos not visible problem by turning the iPad off and on?
I still have to do this to see any videos. :banghead:
When i get a post notification (like i got from RcBolt just now), i am able to see the video (as i saw the Decathlon just now). Provided i am not logged in.
As soon as i log in, poof, the videos vanish.
Any assistance in getting rid of this pain in the posterior is most welcome.
You mean the videos vanish once you login to RC India website ? Or if you are logged into Youtube.com ?
Seems related to the below problem... but I don't see why it has anything to do with logging in !

Also, why is no one else affected ? Have you enabled any content settings on your iPad (like Parental Controls) ?
@anwar sir,
Yes. No.
No parental controls etc.
No problem with RC Aunt's laptop on Google Chrome.
No problem on my sister's iPad not upgraded to iOS 7.
Problem seems similar to the link you sent.
Must be an iOS 7 issue.
Switch off and on, video visible on the screen held before switching off.
(Going to check if videos on other pages of same thread visible. Of course can't change thread without login)
Log on, and the video goes.
The problem with Apple is if it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't. No solution.
Eg, have tried and tried, but iPad will not talk to either of my two Sony Bravia TVs.
Will take up with Gusty tomorrow, but no wifi on field.
Thanks for bothering with what seems to be an individual problem.
Regards.
@anwar sir,
Attached two pics.
Post does not even show link to video.
However link shows in mail notification, and works.
???
Bump.
Wonder if like many others,
I'm only airing my problem,
Without searching for a solution
Myself.
Hey Kk Iyer sir , I have an Ipad mini and an iphone 5s , on which both i surf on rcindia many times a day , but your problem has never occured to mine Idevices , I am always able to see videos on my Idevices , both are on latest version of ios 7 , I think that it might the problem of older gen Idevices .
Iyer sir, even i have facing similar problem in my Office Pc. :banghead: :banghead: they have filtered all kind of social network websites, shopping websites and YouTube too :banghead: :banghead:
I think yours ios problem i guess. ???

Earlier in My Samsung Note-2 videos were visible in its native IE browser. After I installed Bit Torrent now every time I open a thread with video embedded. The Bit torrent even though closed pops up open with a error message of "Failed to add torrent file:///android_asset/webkit/" Now the video is not visible in the native browser but I can see in Chrome browser where it does not open bit torrent.
I don't see anything in settings of Bit Torrent nor in Internet setting which I can change to prevent this.
Any Pointers Anwar Bhai

What version of Android are you on ? BTW, IE should not be the default browser on Android phones... something is amiss here.
[Note] Link updated.
Anwar Bhai
My Android version is 4.3. The Browser is the native one which shows by the name "internet" may not be IE. in settings if i dissable plugin. Then the you tube link is vissible not the video window and it neither pops open bit torrent. But when enabled plugin in pops open bit torrent with error message unable to add torrent file and the video space is empty even after you exit the bit torrent.
Un installed bit torrent and videos are visible again.
That was the obvious solution, to remove whatever introduced the problem in the first place. But I thought you needed BitTorrent anyways. You can try alternate BT clients, and see if they also cause the same issue.
Will try that Anwar Bhai. Thanks.
