Had to spend a small amount of money, but we now have rcindia.com domain also :)

Currently it is an alias for rcindia.org, wondering if we should make http://www.rcindia.com as the main site/url :headscratch:

rcindia.com is also good and easy, but as far as shortcuts is concern

other Short cuts:
ctrl+shift+enter = .org
shift+enter = .net

.Com = commercial
.org is organization.

Though a small add flashes and we clicks to survive the website, I think this is not a commercial website with commercial ads and business only.

Rather we have united with an invisible thread of information sharing and helping that our organization is small but nice HOUSE. Little bit support, leg pooling, clashing, uniting, enjoying, like small ORGANIZATION is much much higher here than COMMERCIAL activity like other business minded site.

So I prefer .ORG whatever be the pricing, just for categorize our self.

Bhaiya, Uncle, Brother, by-name calling seen here which MISMATCH with .com though some .com currently tries to communicating with our language to increase brotherhood, for their business.

Here business is not the prime area so, I am in side of .ORG.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

.ORG or .COM, this forum is not about making money.  I don't see that it will ever be.

.COM does make it easier for people to find/reach it, and that matters.

.com domain name may be blocked and redirected to .org but at least I prefer .ORG

I like .com. ctrl+ enter works with it.

+1 to Kalyan Sir.

Since primary school we have been taught that : ".com" refers to Commercial, ".org" to Organization, .".gov to Governmental, etc etc...
So ours is an organization, that's why i prefer it..

Anyway, since we are indian, "www.rcindia.in" .. seems to be much better.. ;D
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

the dot com in RCI sounds much better..
but the dot org sounded good too... :headscratch:
the latter sounds like "formal"

I would let it be what it is... at most a re-direction to rci from rcindia.com, but no name change..
.ORG suggests that it is no-profit, non-commercial forum, I would like its soul to remain the same

+1 to .org

I dont think I would like this forum to be labeled as an commercial entity.

As far as typing is considered, we only need to type the extension first time, otherwise, the typeahead picks up the entry from the history directly so, one only needs to type the first few chars to get to the site. So for me this logic is pure B**S***.

Besides, I can also set up the link as my favorite....

Great job anwar sir for acquiring rcindia.com domain  {:)}

I like it the way it is now type either rcindia.org or rcindia.com it redirects to the Original site that is RCINDIA.ORG  :thumbsup:

Retaining the soul of .org (Organization not for profit) and imbibing the ease & familiarity of .com
So that newbies like me don't get lost when searching for the Original RCINDIA  :bow:

Yep... I think it makes sense to leave .org as primary, and just let .com flow into it.

Thanks everyone for the passionate feedback ;)
