Very Soon I will be leaving the Shillong Chapter and Moving for Jalandhar. Watch out this space for all Mine and Param's future RC activities. We are going to be joined there by one more accomplished Senior "Param" who has also joined Jalandhar recently.

See you tomorrow.
Wonderful to hear Sandy!
BTW there is another flier - Col. Amit Sharma, currently posted in Ferozepur. A great guy, and a keen flier, nowadays doing a lot of hang-gliding
Yes Sir spoke to him also through Gaurav on Phone.
One more very close to Jalandhar got in touch with is Bhupinder Bamrah from Nakodar.

Two Sundays down with some heart content flying, we are already missing our Official Camera man and wing man "Param" (http://www.rcindia.org/profile/?u=715) Who is still left back at Shillong. For the moment Parambir (http://www.rcindia.org/profile/?u=4306) and me are just enjoying our flying together. When Param Joins then there will be loads of flying and fun.
Did some fantastic flying with Parambir on Scanner, Stryker, EasyStar and me on Laser Stick, EPP SU-21, Quad, Micro Quad. Next time in the field I have to definitely fly with Hat cam on.
Nice to know that you are settling in and are enjoying yourself. When are you coming to fetch Ma'm and Param? Will definitely have to meet up.
December VC. we will definitely catch up.

{:)} {:)} Action packed little model :hatsoff:
good video , great place, thankfully not much of spectators either
Thank you Sanjay Sir, Gusty sir.
if you want to see action packed see this. For 12 - 15 min of extremely tight flight envelops Laser Stick it is. In the video its still not peak RPM. It is set slightly rich so that it reaches peak after one loop but here it more rich. Done same tight combat moves in peak RPM in pitch black night on LED upgrade just 100mtrs box on top of a 50mtr x 50mtr helipad. Did this around Param in Guwahati and Shillong in Techniche and independence day and he used to calmly maintain his heading. :giggle:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uhf-XqXjXLE
Now that is real action!!
Great stuff, Sandy
Thank you Sir :hatsoff:
Sandy Sir, I just have to take flying lessons from you...very nice tight turns
Thank you Girish.
Let me move Log Stock and Barrel complete to Jalandhar. Then we will be doing more of such flying together in Gurgaon and Jalandhar in near future.
fighter crow, didn't leave you till the end. this is one of the virtues that a Student Should have called काक चेष्टा
काक चेष्टा, बको ध्यानं,
स्वान निद्रा तथैव च
स्वल्पहारी, गृहत्यागी
विद्यार्थी पंच लक्षणं।
meaning
For a student to be successful he needs :-
Repetitive effort as good as a crow
Concentration that of a crane
Very light sleep to that of a dog;
s(he) should eat less
be away from home (say in a hostel) :)
one such effort is visible in your video
PS
Did i say,,,, Good Flying too
Thank you Gusty for translating for weak in Hindi Guy like me :giggle:
If you had posted in Tamil definitely you would have had to translate that too :rofl: :rofl:
The Video was not about that the Crow did not leave the fighter but about fighter did not leave the Crows and Eagles :giggle:.
Its not the same crow Gusty. This model flies for close to 15 mins on full tank. The video is clippings of plight of many crows and eagles which venture into the flying field during the flying of three tank full flights. :giggle:.
You are so engrossed in chasing them the landing is always empty tank dead stick. Glides in like a bird.
PS : Gusty Thanks. :thanks: I am dearly missing all the combat flying with you. I am too afraid to scare Parambir with close combat, he will stop coming to the field. ;D
You will love the night flying of this model after I post it ;D
Sir, some more details on the stick please....
Wingspan??
AUW??
Powerplant??
http://www.rcindia.org/gas-glow-nitro-planes/build-and-fly-laser-cut-stick-kit-from-hk-with-ap-o-15-glow-engine/
Last Sunday was build day with our complete undivided attention to the Ronin RC Bazaar. Wing Span 2.6 Mtrs this monster is huge with a Ample space inside the fuselage too.
Best I liked about the model are
(i) The wing reinforcement Carbon tube goes inside another coaxial Carbon Fiber tube pre-cast inside the wing Foam. and there are two such rods for the wing.
(ii) Two different tail setup are given one with inverted 'T' tail and one conventional. You can use either one and both are with removable setup. Carbon tube 3 Nos are already precast inside the foam of the vertical stab for the 'T' tail giving amazing rigidity.
(iii) The strong motor mount with groove just slides in place and fits snugly inside the cavity with pre-designed correct thrust angle.
(iv) Compete electronics with a 600 Watts motor and ESC combo is provided with all servo pre-fitted with the complete accessories, linkages required provided.
(v) The Cockpit is huge with precast clear canopy which can take a GoPro and an additional FPV camera.
(vi) In addition there is a opening and space provided for mounting a GoPro class (Only) camera in the belly facing down too.
(vi) Flaps already built in the wing with the servo pre-installed.
(vii) Built in landing gear ( Tail dragged Tricycle) pre-installed in the fuselage.
Not a drop of CA was used for the complete assembly. Compete assembly took only an hour plus. Test flying is going to be stock later may be we will add more electronics. CG balancing achieved with 10000mah 3S Lipo.

What a monster! When you say that CA wasn't used in the assembly, I assume it can be taken apart for stowage and carriage easily?
Shame on you Gusty sir for showing off with a Skysurfer that's only 2m span! Outgunned.
@VC Absolutely, both wings separate after unscrewing the retaining screws and the complete tail assembly can also be unscrewed after disconnecting the linkage clevises.
The Slots for the wing combined with the twin carbon reinforcement holds the wings rock solid. The retaining screw just holds wings from sliding out.
@Iyer Sir, Who can Compete with Gusty :giggle:
Waiting for the Vids

For last one "Mistel" ,Me109 or Fw-109 F8 was attached to Converted Ju-88 Bomber as big bomb was used to destroy huge bridge and bunkers! you can actually see and fly type of aircraft in the game IL-2 1946 strumovik.
Sandy I suggest you start making couple of fighters, i am there on the 28th of Apr. I assure you, we will fly something very different, that which has never been done before in the world of RC flying (seems like a tall claim, but true) :)
PS
your foam fighters are the fun part, ;)
Roger that Gusty. 28th April it is then.
@rcpilotacro
Let me guess...
(In pm to avoid spoiling the surprise in case my guess is correct)
Imagine Gusty once wanted to shoot himself FPV while wing suit jumping with a plane flown by himself following him with control rigged inside his gloves of wing suit with gesture control.
Iyer Sir, Knowing perspective of gustys ideas, there can be nothing more which can outdo in wildness.

You guys are having too much fun alone. I have to come there
we would be eagerly awaiting that sir. {:)} {:)}
Next Sunday Gusty is going to be back in Jalandhar.
Buggers!!!! had sent the HK Mini APM Board without soldering these three output pins for signal and we were left hacking away our brain for an entire day last Sunday as to what was wrong with our setting procedure.
(https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-45K2xgn1tZ0/U187hdUF_bI/AAAAAAAAB6I/P7piYxPchfQ/w983-h553-no/20140427_182804.jpg)
I never liked the placement of those pins as such, and since rest of the rows are not in use, they should have given single row for signal with appropriate wires to be attached to esc wires.
Anyways would like to know how it performs in the end.
Some more flying with Gusty last Sunday too
www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2UmixAV5hE (//http://)
Very gentle flying! Expected more fireworks ;) :D :D
Very Very unlike Gusty :( :( .... :giggle: :giggle:
Took my Phoenix Magic out this Sunday.
Got a shock to see the amount of control throws.
Backed everything down 50%.
Then remembered...
The last guy to fly it was...
No prices for the correct answer here ;D.. of course it had to be Gusty. :giggle: :giggle:
Pheonix Magic being a delicate model, I am surprised the model did not breath its last mid air. >:D >:D
Parambir has joined the station after a period of long absence. We ventured out to restock our fuel caddies today. This Sunday planning a long session of flying.

Today we had the privilege to have SORAV (http://www.rcindia.org/profile/?u=264) in our field. We had a great day of flying together only the three of us Param, Self and Sorav.
Sorav a great flier, keen RC enthusiast and a great company. Thanks Sorav a wonderful day well spent.
@Sundaram Sir,
In fact I owe my regards to you, mam & param for such a wonderful day & the hospitality offered to me during my visit to your place. :hatsoff: :salute:
Thanks Sorav. It was our pleasure to have your company. Next time please do get mam along.
Days earned flying miles well deserved.
Today was engine's day after the let down by cox yesterday with Sorav. Day well spent with cloud dancer.

Sandy sir; with that pond there about time you made a speedboat
Sanjay Sir, that's just an aeration pond there is a more beautiful mini lake here inside Jalandhar cantt where we can do boating and fishing. Where param goes for cycling. Exactly my thoughts when I saw that. High time I made a speed boat.
Sorav has been kind enough to join the jalandhar guys. In the same initiative we are also planing to reach Ludhiana in coming weeks.
@Sundaram.
Eagerly waiting for you to come over to Ludhiana. ;D {:)}
Bitten by the Depron bug first Depron model built by Sorav.
Must say damn good job for the first time effort.
Thats SORAV (http://www.rcindia.org/profile/?u=264) perfecting his quad move with cirus multiwii 2.5 captured with Carbon mini H with CC3D on a mobius
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KWd47HYqH_E (//http://)
This is Sorav's flying field with vast expanse of agricultural fields. Space available to fly a 200 CC if only it had nice flat patch, which can be developed though however which would be an overkill for our kind of flying for now.
Last Sunday had great flying time with him. Could not carry much since we went with a mind for shopping with wify tagging along.
