Are there any flying clubs/ fields in Kolkata?
I was a member of the Aerosports Association of Bengal, we used to fly at the racecourse every Sunday but the club got shut some time back due to security issues and we no longer have permission to fly at the racecourse.

So, was wondering if there are any other flying sites.
Would love to catch up with fellow flyers and fly.

what about the Behala flying field ? is that used any more ?

lot of empty spaces in Rajarhat area .... I have flown some small models there.
not suitable for the average .40 size as you would immediately draw attention.


best time is about 6 in the morning as there are less people and traffic.

Not sure about the behala field. AFAIK getting a permit to fly there is next to impossible.

Rajarhat seems to be the best option as of now.

Rajarhat is very good option....

But cowherds (and cows) get up and occupy the fields very early,
Lot of snakes in the fields, especially after monsoon,
Jackal howling is also heard at dusk !!!
 

After DGCA circular you can't fly anywhere legally. Otherwise Maidan is the best area but lots of people there on Sundays and Saturdays. On weekdays it remains pretty much empty. Of course there are always too many curious people around.

Is the DGCA working or simply passed the illegal statement and sleeping
