We are happy to inform that around 5-6 fliers gather together on Saturday and Sunday morning to fly rc models (Gliders, Airplanes & Helis) at Annur approx. 20 kms from Coimbatore.

Nice to see RC is spreading its roots deep in many Indian cities.
Last week we had a similar incident in Bangalore's Hoskote field where a VMAR L19 Bird Dog went into a bush and got stuck. It was brought down with help of fellow flyer after half hours effort.

It is a paradox that when features like tree are used as 'Markers' while flying, such incidents also happens! It always pays to have someone near you as spotter while flying who may warn in such eventualities.

Thanks Ujjwaana for your kind advice. Yes there are many trees around where we fly, ideal condiotions to have a spotter.

Cool...man you did a great job at the last moment...it was fun to watch your last moment pulling up to save the bird..and it saved her!!! And amazingly..it landed on all three!!!!

Thanks, it was all because of lack of flight plan. That was the very first flight and I was searching for a goog approach. Good lesson learnt. Lucky to have capture it in my camera.

Cessna 182 Skylane Crashed at our field today.



First flight on flaps.

Hope the damage was not too much

What was the root cause ?  Engine not reaching good RPM, too much throw on controls and/or too much drag from too much of flaps ? Or something else ?

Everything went fine, it was the first flight of Mr. Mohanraj with flaps.

Once airborne he reduced the throttle and tried to switch of the flaps, in the hurry instead of switching off the flaps he had actually induced more flap and to regain control he increased the throttle.

Here is my new EDF powered Jet - Assembled and ready to maiden.
