To increase thrust you need more  money! But to reduce weight you  need nothing!

Thank you Puneet.  I updated the title, so that people looking for a field with regular action in the Delhi area can find it easily.

If people were to point out the location in Google earth, I feel it would be really useful to create a "mega list of RC fields" in India (like the "mega list of RC shops"). What say ? ;) :headscratch:

Yes Anwar, It would be great for finding the nearby fields....

ankur

yeah thats a good idea
but a question-
how do we point a certain 'untagged' location on google earth?
and how do we tag a location for everyone?

It can be done ankur, We need to know the Lang and Lat values for a place and which is easy to find... And then we can add the map with pointer pointing the location of field.

Just imagine, how it would be, If we have complete list of RC fields with its map???

Note that Sai has already demonstrated this by putting a place-marker to show his shop location and his Kovalam flying location (see the link in http://www.rcindia.org/rc-locations-and-clubs/chennai-sholavaram-95-kovalam-3-akarai-1/msg8235/#msg8235).

This is a nice field with some nice landscape picturesque views. I flew with Kuldip Gangwani and Karma on my visit in May last year.

My only concern here was the village children playing cricket not so far from the flyers.

I dread to think the damage a dead stick or a faulty receiver accident can cause, but as they say if there is God, it lives only in India. So be lucky flyers.....

Here are some images from that field...

Can some one provide lat/long values or spot this field for us on Google Maps ?

Actually I need that information for all fields, except Kovalam (Chennai) and Jakkur (Bangalore) which I already have the information for. Please PM the Google Maps link to me.  Let us help make this forum even more useful !

Thanks you speedracer

Can you locate them directly on Google Maps and PM me the link ?  I would like to discuss offline (via PM), including the approach route from the main road, as we have already done for the couple of locations listed at the mega list :

The list is coming up nicely, thanks to Sai, Rajesh, Sushil, Karthik et al

Most of them made path/route annotations on the maps, so that it is easier for people to know exactly where to park and where to fly.

http://www.rcindia.org/rc-locations-and-clubs/mega-list-of-rc-fields-locations-clubs-in-india/

I request others also to build similar Google Maps with annotations for their flying sites, this will be one of the most useful threads on RC India, just like the list of shops !

Hi RC flying buddies of Delhi.....
Just for your info a new field that looks a treat is now open for flying... thanks to Ramesh Tahlan for the info supplied.... and the images from his FBK...... He has been sent an invite to become a member of this group.
"Deepak, on DELHI-ROHTAK road when u r going from delhi to rohtak, u reach Mundka metro station, and at the station u find pillar no 146, red light turn right and cross the rail crossing, and immediately turn left, 1.5km from here is the field on the right.

Thanks to a handful of Delhi modellers, Raju, Dinesh, Bobby, we have a new flying field in Delhi, and no obstructions. Great.

Lets hope the guys can develop it a bit better, the power mud there needs to settle down with one or two full water tankers.
Guys r waiting for the rains, and the rains r a bit far away, i think many people have forgotten the rains of last year and many years."

That was a nice video Anwar, you do dig around and get news for us, thanks.

BTW Jamal the main actor in that film is a great guy. He was bold enough to trust a complete stranger like me and hand over his controls when I visited them last year.

I must congratulate the new Shahrukh Khan on his commentary on the hobby and invite him to join here again.

Man.. when i first started watchin that video i thought it was gonna be another crappy hindi news channel report.. but i'm pleasantly surprised :)
Oh how i wish i was somewhere close to where the action is! Just drive up to my local flying field and learn from someone... Some people just dont realise how lucky they are..  :(
