Guys there is a quite huge lush green open field at koperkhairane. Normally Joggers use it from 5-7 am in the morning on week days so for RC flying there is almost 3hrs. It stays closed from 10 am to 4 pm. However there is a lot of crowding in the evenings. On Sundays the park is empty from 6.30-7 till 10.30 am and then again it closes and opens at 4 pm.
According to the size of the ground it would suit medium size planes but the only problem is that on the three sides of the park it is surrounded my Mangrove forests and retrieval of any lost plane may me nearly impossible.
I usually fly on Saturdays and Sundays and would be happy to see more rc fliers here :D :)
Coordinates for the ground: 19.094472, 72.997003
And near to this ground there is another ground which can be used for multirotor flying and parkflyers and has no restriction on timings. But they are always filled up by the ppl playing cricket :(

Pls do give this place a try :) :hatsoff:

Thanks for the info, was looking for places to fly my hex nearby, currently except for the garden of my society i dare not fly anywhere else in Chembur (due to that real estate fliers incident near TIFR).

Do you fly there often? if yes then people will be used to seeing multirotors and won't be too curious or object.
May be will drop in on a Sunday morning.

I fly every sundays in the morning time. In the morning time very few ppl are present and few curious ppl would just walk up to you asking if it is your final year engineering project? Which engineering college? and "Kitna kharacha hua?"...No ppl here don't object to RC flying(up till now I havent faced any) and they do love watching such things....And when you do come pls PM me!
And guys pls give this place a try! Hope to see more number of avid RC flyers around! :hatsoff:
