The RadiCo Sports arena was launched on May 15th 2010 with the 2nd RCINC. It is located in Panvel, which is about 45 mins drive (28 Kms) from Dadar.
It features an offroad track prrofessionally built which is about 250ft by 150ft in dimensions. It has a lot of jumps, rumbler strips, tight technical sections as well as flat out straights and corners.
It is the first and only (as of now) Track in India to feature AMB RC timing equipment. We offer rental of transponders so that racers can get all data including lap times, average speed etc.
Anyone who owns a RC car can use this facility for a nominal daily charge. It is even avaiable for track days and corporate events. They also have a fleet of cars available on rental basis.
We normally meet up over the weekends 8.30am onwards. Please feel free to stop by and say hello.
Will post the exact address in abit.

Some more..
some more...
Some of the cars from today.
In serious racing, do the electrics compete with nitro ones in the same race (simultaneously) ? Does one have an advantage over the other ?
No, they have their separate classes..
I don't know here though..
Well, electric is said to have an advantage as it has LOTS of instantaneous power... Still, some people like the smell and feel of Nitro and the fact that it is fill and go... No need to wait for batteries to charge..
In professinal races Electrics and Nitros are always seperate catagories.
Electric races are normally shorter, between 10-15mins. Nitro race Main last between 30-60 mins.
@divyam: Electrics do have instant power, easier to maintain and just plug and play. But the runtime is restricted to the numer of battery packs.
All the nitro cars that come to track which are well maintained run between 10-15 tanks of fuel which means a total runtime betwen 90 mins to 150 mins.
So it all comes down to personal preference of a person.
Yes, but nowadays, big companies like MaxAmps are launching 8000-11000 maH batteries, which give you LOADS of run time.. A couple of those and you should be able to last VERY long..
Cost wise, they may be a little expensive initially, but even fuel in India is quite expensive.. That should make up for the price..
Maxamps is overrated. You can get 2-3 5000 mah packs and have a blast.
I would say electrics have way more power than nitros.(with a bl and lipo setup).Their torque is insane and is instantaneous.
REQUEST : Please do not use unparliamentary language or bad words while filming the event. if by chance it happened i would request to delete that frame or add a new voice over in the clip.
Anyways : it is good to see one more new thing in the forum.
Thanks
@Sandeepm: Please note that I havent posted that video on the forum. It was picked up from a facebook profile. Thats one of the reasons why i didnt post it.
Most of the electrics use 2 battery packs to run, so the investment in good packs is quite high. On twin 6000mah 2s 35c packs we get about 20-25mins runtime on most setups. Maxamps was really good at one point in time but now most manufacturers have caught up and offering 90% of the performance/durabilty at 50% of the price.
Overall,electrics should be more powerful.
On maxamps, others give more than 100% of their performance.Turnigy and Zippy packs have been known to do better. But they do have the 160C discharge pack. Not sure if it is a true 160C discharge.
@gandhar: Turnigy and zippy cannot hold a candle next to most of the maxamps packs. We have faced multiple issues with all the lower end batteries as 80% of them do not work properly after then 15th cycle. Some even come defective out of the box, low voltage errors etc. Its a hit and a miss with the HK packs, but if your lucky they are best bang for the buck.
The new 160c pack is purely for racing and needs proper conditioning and maintaince, i think the true discharge is at 75c (i could be wrong). Waiting to save up some money so i can order the 4s 6500mah 160c version for the vorza.
FYI : for the RCINC in bangalore most of the e-revos/savages were running 35c,6000mah packs, but KJ was running 50c fantom pro packs, you could actually tell the performance difference between his car and the rest.
Will see what turns out best.
Where is the video?
Just found this video on Facebook. This was taken after everyone was done for the day.
Karan driving the HPI Vorza, Shane driving the HB D8 Hara.

Is the language issue at 1:44?
What language issue are you talking about. Didnt hear anything in the new one thats why i posted it.
Unforuntately during racing you will hear the occassional curse. If that is fine we have a whole lot of videos to post.

What you have said is quite true.Cursing does come naturally when you have guys being really competitive and are racing. It could be in a 1:1 car or on a driver's stand. :giggle:
How about posting them with just a warning saying "explicit audio"?
I want to see more videos from India.
RadiCo Sports Arena is planning to install a complete floodlight system on the offroad track.
This will facilitate night racing upto to 1am. The cooler temps will enable to cars to run a lot cooler and consistent.
Plus it gives a lot more people a chance to enjoy the track as it will remain open 7 days a week.
cool
The final Race of this season is on the 21st May 2011 from 5pm to 10pm on the RadiCo Sports track. We have all classes running except for petrol open. Currently we have about 55 cars attending. If anyone wants to particiapte or spectate please PM for details.
