Hello fellow Lukhnowites,

May I know where you guys fly in Lukhnow, and when? I'll be moving there in June this year and am dying to start flying again. Earlier I used to fly in my college grounds, but now I don't have access to it. If there is any group of flyers in the city, please add me to that group.

Cheers

Was the Hero 3D a dead stick landing?

Thank you Sanjay Sir.

Yes sir it was a dead stick landing. Even in such extreme wind it does beautiful deadstick landing.

Been flying this model for an year now. I regret having put a glow on it. I should have gone for electric. It would have been a wonderful 3D model.

Great Flying there sandy, Yak was nose heavy i guess, with cowling it might further get worse

Dead stick in windy conditions was great, hardly any landing roll
Gusty's Hangar and Introduction.

A Good pilot will practice until he gets it right,
A Great pilot will practice until he can't get it wrong.

Thanks Gusty. Yak got a bit nose heavy with fuel (450ml).

Now I have changed the location of the Life 2S 3000mah and done a complete rewiring of the servos and Rx. The cowl has also been fitted and CG balanced. Now its is at the recommended 110mm with full fuel. and creeps back to 120 as you empty your tank. Ideal for 3D after half tank. The Prop 16x6 is also on the way and a GF Nylon of 14.5x8 too is on the way.

In Hero 3D video that was the worst of the three dead stick landings that day. It has no cross wind roll over in dead stick, glides in beautifully.

Its very strange that OS 55Ax peaks at 1.5 turns HS Needle now in this model. I was trying at 2 turns earlier like in Jalandhar and it was getting flooded always and would stutter to a dead stick quite a few times that day.

Will you be using 16"and 14.5"props on the OS 55? That's too much prop!

BTW my OS 55, done about 60-70 tanks, now peaks at 1 1/4 turns  :headscratch:

sundaram

No sir the 16x6 and 14.5x8 inch were for 20CC gas. Gusty opined that the 16x8 now is a bit over propped.

OS I shouldn't be surprised then
