AMA has made considerable contribution in formulations of rules and guidelines by Aero Club for Aeromodeling.

We obtained the Associate Membership of Aero Club of India on the 28th.April 2010.
We provide Identity Cards to the members after due completion of our application form which requires complete details of the applicant ,proof of address and the blood group.
We provide third party insurance coverage for designated flying fields.
Our ID card is recognised at international and national competitions and events for participation by members.
We conducted the first event at Delhi NCR February 2011 and the second event at Karnal,Haryana in November 2011.(Souvenirs attached).
We have participated in events at Narnaul(Rajiv Gandhi National Center for Aerosports) on the request of Aero Club.
We have members all over India from all walks of life including students.and are affiliated to Wings India ,the aeromodeling club from Mumbai which is also an associate member of Aero Club of India.
We have senior members from the aviation industry and from the Air-Force,Our Chief Patron is Air Chief Marshall(Retd.)A.Y.Tipnis.
We have an affiliate in the Thrissur(Kerala),which is spreading Aeromodeling in schools through planned classes and practical projects to build and fly, they have franchisees all over India(currently 40),including in Delhi and Noida.Their course of instructions have been scrutinised and approved by us (website:aero-sports.in).They have enrolled more than 15000 students
We have also started project classes in engineering colleges through our affiliate-ICAME(Indian Conclave for Aeronautical and mechanical Engineers), in Delhi,website:icame.org.in.They will be conducting national events on the lines of SAE in field of aeronautics under the guidance of AMA.
This year we plan to hold the event at Pinjore,Haryana on the 5th. And 6th. Of October 2012,with the support of Aero Club of India.
Having made considerable progress in the field of Aeromodeling in achieving the objectives set by us in a short period of 3 years ,we request and look forward to a strong backing and support from the Aero Club Of India in coordination with DGCA for permissions at DGCA controlled flying clubs ,the Wireless Planning and Coordination (WPC) regards clearly defining the use 2.4 Ghz. Frequency allocation for aeromodelling use,as well as with Customs authorities to set aside a separate classification for aeromodeling goods for quick clearance at import at a defined duty structure.
Aero Club on its part should allocate more funds to the hobby and organise quick distribution of aeromodeling assets already purchased to make the impact on the members of AMA of its genuine contribution to the hobby in India. Our members should be nominated for participation at international competitions and financially supported to participate in them with the Indian flag ,which is today missing from these events.
With the support of Aero Club we hope to make our presence felt at the international events conducted by FAI.
On an individual capacity Wings India members have contributed to bringing this hobby on the international scene by inviting international flyers at the events at Amby Valley and they also participate at events in Europe.
However a national thrust with the support of Min.of Civil Aviaition and Aero Club is currently not as expected, which must be actively persued to support the educative and thrilling hobby in the category of Aero Sports in India.
As in all other countries, the regulatory authorities should accept the contribution of aeromodeling at school and college level and in creating competent Radio Control pilots who can be useful for UAV operations in the future.Army and Airforce is already supporting this through N.C.C. and have introduced training courses using model aircraft to train UAV pilots.
The activity should be duly recognised and the impression that it is a security risk has to be washed out of the minds of MHA,MCA and the public. They should not brush it aside as a rich man's toy ,they are present all over the country and due recognition by all concerned is overdue.
With a valid ticket and due security at the airport the public is allowed to fly in the aircraft ,why not allow the hobby by the members with due proof of address and competence to fly?AMA ensures this through its members.

This report is submitted to Aero club which forwards it to Min.of Civil aviation and forms a part of its report to parliament.

AMA is striving to support aeromodeling hobby and the community of flyers.
