I usually fly on the western side and some afternoons on the patni grounds. kharghar is a little too far for me. But i will surely make the trip if there is a good bunch of people gathering.

Patni is too far for me as well. I go there only when i have a new aircraft or some modification to try out (since my ground near home is very windy). But if you guys are coming, i'd love to join in.

As of now we should be there this coming Sunday: Paraveen, Saurabh, Sujit, Anand and self

I have a Radio Problem, so didn't fly. Not sure about the others

I was busy with packing and stuff, hence couldn't come ... will be out of town for 2 weeks.

I have found some open grounds in the western suburbs, any flyers from the suburbs?

hi where in the sub burbs 

i fly on sunday mornings at a field at madh near malad. There are also a few fields in vasai and near mira road. If you drive northwards from borivali, in about 7-8 kms, you will see a bunch of open areas to your left. I usually fly alone since the strong mumbai RC gang flies at patni which is a little too far for me. Any company will be gleefully welcomed.

There are open grounds in mira road & bhaynder, thats where i fly!

is there any place between bandra and goregaon any thing beyond tht is far

i guess we fliers at navi mumbai are having an xmas bash tomorrow morning at 07:30.

me(pikle6), sujit bhaiya(raja_mastana), anand bhaiya(anandparanjape) and sanjay sir (sanjayrai55)(looking forward to meeting you sir) will be there all others are welcome too.

                                         1 flight on easayfly glider
                                         my first quad flight on sujit bhaiya's quad (i guess i flew ok and landed with a broken prop (sorry sujit bhaiya  ))
                                         1 more flight on sanjay sir's easystar 2

we had some monumental achievements on the field today anand bhaiya did his first proper solo on the easystar 2, i had my first proper quadcopter flight (though landed bad with a broken prop), and we succeded after a lot of failures to get sanjay sirs easystar 2 down from a tree.

Nice pictures guys. That easystar is sitting high on the tree. Wonder how you guys got it out, some one must have climbed up I guess.

Amit: yes one of the local guy climb on the tree and brought the model down.

where is this place exactly in kharghar?? can you post a link with google maps?

In simple terms -
1. From Thane Belapur rd, take a left at Kharghar (if coming from Vashi).
2. Take right from Utsav Chowk
3. Pass the Golf Course
4. Take a right from Gurudwara

You will see a big open space on your left
