Hi all,

I am visited Shanghai for a week in the middle of October. I researched on the web and decided that I will buy a JR Spektrum DX6i 2.4 Ghz DSM2 as a beginner.

Here are the queries:  :headscratch:

Any comments on my choice?
Does anybody know a good outlet in Shanghai where I can buy this?
Which Trainer model and which glow engine do you suggest?

Thanx in Advance!

Hope you have been through the radio discussions here, especially this thread.

If you strictly want to stay at the 6channel level, then the DX6i is one the best choices.  Do check if your resources allow you to go to the 7 channel level, as those are more of "for a life time" radios.

For glow engines, OS is the most trusted name.  There are lower priced alternatives, with varying results (good and bad).  For a beginner, OS would be recommended because the needle tuning issues are lower compared to many others.

Would love to hear from others also....

Waigo hobby has JR stuff. Shanghai hobby had better deals on Futaba, I'm not sure if they have JR.
