but this time it didnt changed to paid.

well, i talked with CS at live chat.
but this time, they are askin for photo of card's last 4 digits.

till the chat was over... status changed to paid.
but with a note, card image required.

what this mean, do they still require image? (as status is paid now)  ???

i stay at hostel, so need to wait till weekend, to go home and take a pic.

Has anybody placed any order at hobbyking recently? Just wanted to know how much time they are taking to ship any parcel on their side now.

Have been waiting desperately for HK to start its freebies again.... have a cart with 98$ in it... (:|~ (:|~ (:|~ (:|~
Lots of freebies have been offered earlier...

It seems to be on hold as they have updated that :

"we are integrating Freebies into a windows taskbar system right now. We should be starting them again soon. "

Anybody has ordered 100$ + from HK with freebies earlier???

AyushGupta

Hey friends,

Any idea how to make my invoice read 30% to save on customs??

karan3_k

h.k allows it on second order onwards....

option will be availiabel on 2nd order....

I made a $78 purchase on HK exactly a week ago. They shipped it after 4 days. (Number : RB345309356HK) It's been 3 days and the tracking status is still not available. :(

@Ved : The last box reads "update item".... I've never heard of it. Let's wait for replies. Normally the tracking should appear somewhat like this : http://ipsweb.ptcmysore.gov.in/ipswebtracking/IPSWeb_item_events.asp?itemid=RB418781095HK&Submit=Submit

Ved - If you stop and think for a minute, you will realize what you are asking is to make people predict "will it rain tomorrow" !

And realistic answers to this question has been posted here many many times, it is up to 5 weeks after parcels have been actually shipped, about 2 weeks is the norm unless the item inside causes customs complications.

You do realize that every parcel is unique when it comes to handling... there are so many factors influencing how each one is handled, including the "mood" of the customs officials, or even the local post office folks.  How can anyone state any particular date with any conviction ?

OK
I will wait for some more time now.

Indeed the frustration associated with a delayed parcel is awful... But it's always patience that helps...

Seems like with Indian customs its "order something and forget it", the day you receive it you'll be lucky...

OK  I will wait for some more time now.

That's the spirit, especially when dealing with things like HobbyKing and customs... where delays are the norm.

I don't think it's always the case... before RC, my biggest hobby was numismatics. I used to exchange valuable foreign currency (mostly coins) over posts. (oops!) I sent and received coins from mostly france and US. I just used registered letters, inserted the 12-15 coins into a cardboard and sent it. It did appear abnormal but they always accepted it. And officially coins are aboslutely banned over posts. Yet I made close to 30 exchanges... (refer en.numista.com)

@hyd_quads
sir I ment that in a very very general way after reading the forum posts... no offense here, it might be the case with certain types of products and certain vendors as HK is quite popular, so it might be that custom officers know which parcels to track.

Regards

hyd_quads

Of course I knew it was in a general sense... :). Actually a part of what you've told is equally true... The indian customs is indeed slightly troublesome...
