Hello as i was seeing hobbyking website i saw the radio Turnigy 9xr. Can we order without custom hassles And is it approved by wpc authority of india? :)

nairitb

The same kind of radio, with the name FlySky FS-TH9X is available locally. Better buy it locally. No one can guarantee you NO CUSTOMS HASSLES.

And WPC hasn't type approved the radio as far as I know becoz I din't find it in the approved list available in WPC website.

Hey v2 i searched in the net Paypal is a billonaire enterprises. And about 50% of the cusotmers have visa cards only.
Hobby king only accepts payments from credit card, paypal and western union.
Western union:- if sending some one money like any friend it is good.
But to websites like hobby king it is very risky.
And paypal do accepts visa cards. :).
Make sure what address you have given to the bank matches to the address in your paypal account
Or it will be rejected.
:)

So can we directly pay them instead of Paypal. Pardon my ignorance, ive started making online purchase only for this Hobby. and made purchase in Indian sites alone.

Debit Cards issued in India are not supported by Paypal due to RBI regulations. ICICI & HDFC Debit Cards are supported I heard.

Anyway, you can directly pay with your VISA Debit Card at HobbyKing using the Pay by Credit Card Link. You are charged 2.93% extra per transaction for this.

I was waiting all these months for this model to get listed at RCBazaar since Sujju bhai told me about it. However, I found out that it'll cost me around 14k if I buy from RCBazaar. Shipping is very costly here.

From HobbyKing, I get it for ~9k. Plus Customs (if any). So asking about customs rates, if anyone has paid on importing other planes also.

v2 eagle

Okay, Let me Try that next Time.
And any Tips for Minimizing the Shipping Fee, i dont worry about getting it Late. any Slow but sure Way please. Last time i tried to order a 6 channel Radio and the Shipping charges were around 24$.

watch out while importing... though you ask yourself if it is worth waiting for months for your parcel to reach you.. or getting it it in 2 days....

Hi nitech. RCBazaar has lauched this model named "The Parrot (2000mm) 5Ch FPV glider - PNP" 1-2 days ago. I was waiting for it since last 3 months. Sujju bhai told me about it in July.

But its price dampened my spirits. It'll cost me ~14k including shipping. Thats too high compared to HK's 9k (including shipping). Thats why I am asking if anyone imported ANY plane from HobbyKing so that I can know how much Customs Duty is charged.

I can wait for 2-3 months with the plane lying at Customs Depot and according to my calculations, Customs Duty should not be more than Rs2000 for this model.
