i was really lucky to get my package on the 10th day after order. Actually the consignment reached a day ealier but due to sundays it was delayed by the indian post. ... cheers

Not excellent but yes better then other cheap ways .
Your parcel can reach you within a week or a month. Totally depends on the size . Sometimes even small parcel face customs too.
I ordered a key chain camera alone which was in customs for 11 days . So its your luck

A keychain camera for 11 days in customs. My God why these customs do like these like?
I think they always want some money from anything.

Yes supiidtarc. You can take chance but some times if luck is good you can escape custom charges.

Hi Sudip. You HAVE TO PAY customs duty if you choose FedEx shipping. Wait till next week. Hobbyking is supposed to add some more shipping options in addition to the existing ones (cheaper than FedEx)...

OK here's the thing. it's a radio. it will be caught by customs, and they will ask for a wpc certificate. there's only a 10% chance it won't be caught. and customs duties are inevitable... I payed 1500/- for my bixler...

You can escape if ordered by registered post(sometimes)..if ordered by FedEx or ems you'll pay customs for sure... Sudip wait for few more days let my radio arrive. If I escaped paying duties then you can take chance...

I can assure you that the method is correct. Please double check my calculations and point them if anything is wrong. Rates may be different. I have taken the rates as given in the FedEx invoice.

However, you'll notice that X has not been charged in my invoice. Don't know why. Percentage tax in my case come out to be 28.85%

Now you can know how much Customs Duty (maximum) you'll have to pay when ordering ANYTHING & EVERYTHING fro HobbyKing!!!

Applicable only when ordering through EMS, Air Parcel & Couriers (DHL, FedEx etc)

Hi Sudipta. WPC certificate is needed by ANYONE who imports ANY radio equipment, whether for PERSONAL use or COMMERCIAL use.

I think Aman asked me some days back where did I get these info. I got these info from website of Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC) http://www.cbec.gov.in/cae1-english.htm and Wireless Planning & Coordination (WPC) http://www.wpc.dot.gov.in/

You can download the following from these websites:

1. Documents listed under section Rules and Regulations at WPC.
2. Documents listed under Customs at CBEC.

These are the real, authentic sources from where you'll get all the required information on how the system works.

I send NUMEROUS emails to wpc regarding the procedure of getting an Import License. NOT A SINGLE REPLY!!! 

I tried applying through their website. When in the final stage of the application form, when I click a button, the next page is full of Chinese/Japanese/Korean characters!!  Tried switching browsers, trying switching pc. But no use  Sent an email regarding this to wpc. NO REPLY 

My god Why these goverment dont understand we have teach them a lesson. I dont know why do they do like these. I think they make the website and nobody is there for seeing all enquires very IRRESPONSIBLE.
