I am researching to understand the customs charges on import of RC Products. I found some issues on the amount charged by Fedex. Is there is any guarantee that the amount collected by Fedex is paid to customs ?
May I request someone to share Fedex issued custom charges receipt for my study.

Bought all items required for quadcopter build, including Turnigy 9X Transmitter W/ Receiver... for $383.. approx 24,000 INR... Only EMS shipping was available to me.. Coz the parcel weighed 4KG and no other carrier option was available to me.. Parcel dimensions were about 60cm x 40cm x 20cm.. Waited for 1.5 months for that parcel.. Delay was at the source country (FIJI).. It arrived India at around 5th January (Delhi).. They sent it to Chennai Customs for scrutinization (as it is nearer to my place.. Tenali, Andhra Pradesh)... It went to customs hands on 10th Jan.. Came out from them on 17th Jan.. Delivered on 20th Jan, duty free...

Truly.. Want to thank you all friend for your support and God for providing me luck..

I placed my order on 7th December'13 on HK. Still, I haven't received my parcel . Its almost 45 days and still not received. It has many items that I need urgently. Also, the website for tracking is down since several days. Kindly suggest me what to do. I don't know why it happened this time. My other orders one including a radio came in just 15 days. This time there has been such a delay.
My order consists of following items:
2 X Brushless Motor
2 X ESC(30A)
10X Servos 9gm
Wheels
Various connectors, horns, clevises.
Propellers
I don't think these items are a problem with custom's department .

No I didn't. The shipping was with registered air mail. I received that just in 15 days.

Did you try contacting the destined customs branch or your local post office ? I too had the same problem. The first shipment arrived in 12 days. But the second one got held up in customs for a long time. I had to call them. Turned out that it was in the local post office for almost a week.

No not yet. Would be doing that tomorrow morning only...

Did you use the EMS option.....

Yeah, I did it right now. It is showing held by customs at destination..

EMS Does get stuck, i have been told. Mine ( Order Placed 2nd Jan 2014) is still not come - MISTAKE used the EMS route

So whom to contact now and what to do?

Step - 1 : Check the Local Post Office , they may have it with a note ( Amount Mentioned ) of the custom that you need to pay....

Step - 2 : Launch an investigation query with HK ( Ask quick response)

Step - 3 : Check with Customs Department ( Lucknow mein kahan hai pata nahi mujhe)

## Aur tension mut lo ( Someone told the same to me )
