yes buddy, Indian railways are one of the largest in the world, and I think non of the member on this forum, if they live in India can say they have never used Indian railway or will never use it.

Indian railways have been matter of study for major management institutes world over. And I think they were studying it's managerial practices.

I my self have sent Nichrome wire to couple of members on this forum using Indian Postal System, reaching them safely in less than one week's time, and one of them is as far as about 3000 plus kms from my place, and It will be hard to digest for many RCer if I say I had paid 10 cents postage for each.No postal Admin in this world can do that except India post.

Ajay JM

Well, if you take my case I have ordered only two parcels from HK of date and this I would say from those encounters.
I'm most definitely not happy about their packing standards  ;D

Using Indian railways or post is not a matter of choice. For somethings its the only option. also 10 cents= Rs. 5 which u paid for posting to 3000 km is because of subsidized rates of india post and that extra money comes from taxpayers hard earned money. read here
http://www.iitk.ac.in/3inetwork/html/reports/IIMStudReport2001/A5.pdf

An excerpt from the above report:-
Due to slow induction of technology and old staff norms, manpower costs increased
exponentially. Corresponding adjustment of product and service pricing lagged
behind expenditure in a soft state, which perceived postal services as the common
man's means of communication and, therefore, needed to be under-priced with the
state picking up the subsidy tag.

PS- if they charge u at actual rates there will be another anshan by some baba due to price hike.  ;)

Matter of choice or compulsion.

Good thing is, it works for us Indians and works every time.

But the point is that every one got and understood the warning you posted, we should be careful when dealing with HK

Seems like the problem of receiving empty packages from Hobby king is not limited to indians.

Check out the guy in this URL. I think he is from new Zealand:

Listen to him for start till 1:30mins. Here he describes how he got a empty box which was supposed to contain Turnigy 9x radio. So issues seems to lie with HK itself.

Hoping that my paid but yet unshipped items reach safely  :P

I want to reply here as question is pointed directly towards me, first of all I want to make clear that I have never claimed on this thread or even this forum that I have tested this or that battery and they are the best available to RC world today. Please correct me if I am wrong.
But simultaneously it is not possible for me to digest heavily inclined reviews and claims stating we are using these batteries and they are the best, with out any scientific evidence.

And regarding my battery collection you are welcome to visit my place to see them, but you know I am relatively new member in this community, so you will not be surprised to see it.

Thanks for posting the Link.

Nice to see this video(thanks Ashutosh). I came to know lately that there have been many concerns regarding this Chinese sellers services and customer care, In one funny instance a customer have been asked to send pics of a faulty motor to get warranty for the same!!!!!!!!!!!

Akshay - Please don't belittle yourself with such comments !

You had a bad experience, we all understand that it could happen to anyone else tomorrow. It has happened to others also, as is evident from reports in other forums etc.  It has been said before that it is all about percentages how much people have a fair experience dealing with ANY shop, and you have accepted the same.

Regarding batteries, it is obvious that no one here took advertising money from HobbyKing to promote their batteries, people are posting their experiences.  If they are "heavily inclined", it is just their experience SO FAR (which has also been clarified before).  What is wrong with that ?

Does everyone test everything they use SCIENTIFICALLY before saying, "this this has worked best (or best value for money) for me so far" ?  Please don't let your bitterness about losing a parcel cloud your common sense, and berate others without any logic (especially with standards that you would not apply to yourself).  It is as if stating ones experience about using any particular product is a crime, unless one took the pain of importing testing machines and samples (which is the job of manufacturers and licensing authorities).

Some shop will come tomorrow, which will be better than HobbyKing for pure value for money.  May be it is here already.  What ever that may be, let this incident not be remembered by people as what "caused Akshay to snap", rather than whether some hobby shop some where is good, or whether some of their products make people think it is good value for money. The saddest part is that even though it was clarified before no one here is claiming that the said lipos are the best, they are rather "some of the best value for money" from personal experience, the same allegation is still being made.

I urge you to take a deep breath, my friend... and re-assess why you are pouring your outburst on people who just stated what they experienced so far (without any negative motives).

First of all it was a big let down for me on this forum, which I thought as a brotherhood like meeting place for Indian RCers. I didn't expected any sympathy from any body nor support, to compel  this Chinese seller to compensate for my lost items. I felt bad when people started to demean my loss and taking sides of this Chinese seller by praising it's products, and my loss as a mistake of some body other than this seller. And even one poster cursed our own country's system to prove sellers honesty. You know my case is not an isolated instance, many many people world over facing problem of same kind. Isn't this is sellers duty, who doing business on regular basis, to make sure that goods reaches to buyer in good shape, not in eyes of this Chinese seller, not at all.

Unexpectedly I got better support on Foreign forums, they came out and supported me openly with their own bad experiences and even with out them as a unified RC brother hood. This loss is not going to change course of my life, not certainly, but I felt cheated.

As far as I know I have never written my posts in a personal colour. Not even, if the posts are directly pointed towards me.

Though I decided not to post any thing on this forum, but if somebody falsifies me or my cause it becomes my moral right to clear the air, if I am true and honest in my archetypes.

Finally please pardon me if any of my deeds or posts are efforts of demeaning this thread or forum, if so, I can say for certain they are unintentional.

All the Best
Akshay

My last sentence on this :  No one here thinks the loss to a fellow RC enthusiast is a smaller issue than the name or fame of a hobby store situated somewhere out there ! Personally, my post was not meant to hurt the feelings either, but someone has to state things objectively, and not entirely driven by emotions alone.

It is sad to see people reading imaginary stuff between the lines and treat posting others experiences (or should it be termed "just luck" ?)  as lack of compassion or "demeaning". One cannot force the audience to come out with bad experiences which they have not had so far (unlike bigger forums where such chances are higher). When 18 parcels became empty by magic in the past few days and people are talking about going to the media about this, what is there NOT to blame the country's system and the room for improvement there ?

Hangar : Please see my introduction.

Akshayb

I highly doubt the mention of instance of loss of 18 parcel, as I have already mentioned on that thread, stating so. There are many gateways on the way to reach parcel to your place, how can some body say for certain that material is lost from a particular place untill he is Sanjay of Mahabharata who was able to see every thing from far away. That's why I said, this becomes seller duty to make sure items reaches the buyer in good shape. By packaging it in a good material at least. There had been a big debate on this forum about badly packaged item sent from a person from your own native land to a other fellow member, and he received the stuff in really bad shape.

Being objective and practically unemotional doesn't mean that you demean the cause and loss of your own fellow Rcer. Atleast this is bad to my tastes.

anwar

Imaginary "demean" again ? Have you considered how many people you MAY have hurt just because they posted their real life experience while they have commiserated with you all the way ?  I know at least one.

I would have posted so many areas/reports of issues with our postal and customs services and need for improvement, while being well aware that some TSA screeners in the US are caught for selling thousands of dollars of stolen passenger stuff on eBay.  But then, why talk when hearts alone make decisions :)

Akshay - I really don't want to continue this.  I hope you read this thread again after a few weeks or months and I pray that you can get over this incident.
