Hobby King has become irritatingly slow since the Chinese New Year (CNY).  I have a record delivery in 11 days from payment, which could have broken as Indian postal+ customs have really socked up lately.

All international mail/post/parcel does go through customs. Its that they rarely open an envelope. Dont try something ambitious taking wrong clues.

Really ? I see HK having all the reasons, time and space to put 'Daily Video" , "Flash Sale" and blah blah on their main page, except this kind 'Advisory'. Should one go to a 'Forum' to learn that their orders may take exceptionally longer to get delivered ? Now when can't put all the blame to HK Post either!!!

I heard 'Russel Peters' branding Indian buyers to be 'Cheap' in one of his stand ups (Pacific Mall joke). But I see even westerns to be acting cheap for getting a bargain or that bonus point!!!

ujjwana  that board saying that they have got large number of orders , is there in the hk online chat service, for more than three months, why dont they better close the company other than , lie so much to the customers,?

We pay through HK's Mainline site and not those repressing Forum (Where people like me are banned for raising exactly the same concerns).
You are really right that if they cannot predict and be ready for for such 'Alleged' increased order, after  being high on CNY and usual high orders before Summer season, such Online Shops would and should perish.
I have first hand experience of shopping elsewhere (SDSHobby, RCTimer, E-bay guys) for items I needed soon. I have read many people on RCG/RCU doing the same after getting sick of HK.
If HK continue playing UNISEF/WHO and thinks that people have no other place to buy, I think this is exactly playing at the top of the 'Bell Curve' .... the only way forward is way down.
The Motto of my last employer was : 'Attache' and Then Revenue'  That is , get the customer attached/dependent on you, then try to extract revenue. For that they did not actively stop piracy so that people can easily get used to their software. HK has already dont that, and it is very important that they dont lose this USP to other players (which are many).
Wish Mr hands wakes from the high of the weed he has been smoking and quickly address these issue.

This is a misnomer, a sentiment spread by HK Fanboys (which I used to be once).
Comparing Towers to HK is like comparing Almonds to Peanuts (literally).

1. There is are hardly 'Brands' common  to Towers sold by HK. The commons are mostly OEMS (Futaba/Hitech), where HK is *Actually* costlier, considering 20-25% discount Towers gives (for $100+ purchase, mostly the case for such items)
2. There are other 'Flea' branded items, like Sullivan /Dubro which gets stocked very sporadically . HK does sell them cheaper.
3. Items like HK has more sales in volumes are ESC, Motors and Lipos (Which even I buy from HK). But again all the brands are either HK's in-house or little known. We can argue they they are 'As good as a 'Castle' equivalent to Axi  and good as Kontronics/Kokam. But  do they really are ?? I dont intent and have not seen many  people using such knock off on serious/costly projects. May be for foamies or cheap Chinese Balsa models, but nothing like a premium/Performance centric/Bounty Hunter models.

4. Last, and not the least HK  could be at best an "Electric Guy's" hotspot. Go in to Nitro/Gasser and see how many 'Reliable' Engines, Servos, accessories  you can Find! Yes! HK recently added MAS Balsa strippers/Planers. Time will tell how regular they would stock them (My 'Flea-Market' theory).

My sole intention is that people come out from the HK-Worship slumber and shop around more intelligently. I am not going or advocating to totally stop buying from them. But then I request other not to ignore their follies just because they are cheaper, as it never a criteria.

After adding a LiPo to my cart I used to see some shipping option called 'QAM Airmail" and hobbyking used to call it 'LiPo-Firendly". Well, I never used it.  But suddenly I see that this shipping option is no longer provided by HK. Did anyone of you try this before? How was it?

Except for one thing.  HK has done equal or more for mass adoption of this hobby worldwide than Tower ever did.  Even Ujjwal will have to partially agree to that.

I would not buy branded/expensive stuff from HK, Tower has much much better prices for those.

Everything else well said, and is nothing new compared to what has been said in this post below.  Especially the "shop elsewhere" part !  I wish people read this before buying from HK !

I never accumulated points even in higher single digits, all earned as I purchased (HK wont pay me points for more criticism then Goody Goody talks).

ujjwana look carefully in his pic there is a minus behind the number ,
once even i made many fake questions from another account and answered them using my original account and rewarded with bonus points for the answer from fake account to this account. i had made around 24$, but hk came to know and minused all twenty four $$ , but i had used up 4 $ , so my bonus is presently -4$ which is indicated like this " ($4.00) " OR this " -$4.00 ".

HK is doing same to Towers, what Towers did to Brick and Mortar Shops.
Only difference is that Towers still treats Customer Royally,

And you call Towers Costly!! Visit a LHS in CONUS - like HobbyTron then you  would know
what HK is in front of Towers, Towers is much much better to LHS  (In price, I am not at all comparing or questioning all the valuable advice and personal care LHS give )

When you have limited orders per day, you can take care of the customers royally.
But, when you are facing 5000 odd orders per day - it must be a nightmare for them (no wonder Tony has lost all his hair  ). I really would love to see (any HK factory videos??) how HK proceses so many orders. Whatever processes they have setup, is really working well. Plus, HK rarely messes up orders (wrong/missing items) inspite of them processing so many orders. 
But there is always room for improvement. I, personally, would want them to improve their packing. The cardbord they use is not fit for international shipping.

Here is where the "I have an issue with HK" crowd loses it.  I have never felt HK is treating me like a beggar. Tower works out because of their 20% to 25% offers.  Otherwise I have seen their prices are similar to LHS prices, including HobbyTown where I have shopped multiple times.  In particular, radios and sims were priced the exact same at HobbyTown, as compared to Tower.

[Update] Changed HobbyTron to HobbyTown... that's an LHS with multiple stores in the Austin area.

Guess this just shows HK customer service reps are much more civilized in their language.  At least they got that part right.  It is not macho to call names... on the other hand, most people would read that conversation as a lack of civility on the part of the poster. One does earn brownie points for being civil under duress, that is the mark of a gentleman, and age seems to help with that.

I agree that HK is testing people patience with shipping delays, but the whole world seems to know now that they are not the fastest when it comes to shipping.  Buyer beware, on that front !  Just shop somewhere else, rather than getting a reputation for being foul mouthed.
