Whereas I have nothing but plaudits for your expansion into a chain of branches, I would like to bring to your attention a particular issue that I as a user have faced often.

The problem arises when a single order is divided into multi-branches because of stock availability. This gets exacerbated when the items are oversize leading to very high shipping costs. e.g. If I want to buy 1 sheet of balsa, 1000 mm X 100 mm X 6 mm and one sheet 1000 X 100 X 3 mm, and one size is available in Bangalore, the other in Pune, I am going to land up paying a very very high shipping cost, much much more than the product value. Further, the location is only apparent at the time of check-out.

This needs resolution.

Maybe a Central Warehouse for Shipments? With Branch Stocks only for Retail?

Thanks for the note and your views / suggestions duly noted.. we will check if the location can be made visible before checkout however this might turn to be a confusion on a later stage with more of our stores coming up soon locally and internationally. The ideal way as stated by yourself is to have a dedicated warehouse only for shipping however the only issue would be maintaining stocks in the warehouse and also at the retail store level which at this juncture might not be feasible. (not to mention the dreaded thought of dead stocks both in warehouse and the stores)

However there is absolute merit in thinking out a solution for this issue and any more feasible suggestions would be much appreciate from the group here.
