Hi Fellow Aeromodelers!

Its of immense pleasure to us to bring high performance 3D helicopter models to Indian aeromodeling enthusiasts. RotorZone has taken up exclusive distributorship of Compass Model, the most innovative RC-Helicopter company of recent times.

To begin with RotorZone is stocking two models:
Knight 3D (50 size nitro)  & Atom 500 Electric.  We are committed to provide local support with full inventory of spares and parts for these helicopters. Both these models are capable of extreme 3D without any upgrades. Precise tracking and crisp cyclic response are hallmarks of these models. They come 80% assembled from the factory.

Carbon & Fiberglass reinforced with carbon rotor blades are in stock as well.

Our endeavor is to bring world class products from manufacturers that are at the top of their game to Indian aeromodelers at internationally competitive prices. We'll be making more announcements on this soon.

Here is a short video illustrating the Knight 3D's performance by Tareq Al Saadi, an internationally renowned 3D pilot.

Here in Qatar, we have a fellow heli flyer (originally from Malaysia), who recently sold his Trex 500 and got a Compass Atom 500 instead.  The heli flies great, no wonder it is becoming very popular (looks like it is already a big hit in Malaysia).

On the Atom 500, I like the single piece tail boom with no separate boom supports (unlike most other helis).

Yes, there are plenty of people in the heli forums who have sold their rexes after flying compass.

Atom 500 tail boom dia is the same size as the 50 size helis. As I understand, it was designed that way to avoid the static build up that occurs in similar size helis. There have been many reported instances of loss of radio control when the built up static discharges.

As an Align fan, I have been watching this forum called TheTrexForums for a while now.

Yesterday, they changed from being an Align focused forum to a general RC heli forum, as mentioned in http://www.thetrexforums.com/?topic=5894.0 .

What is interesting is that they also feel that the Compass models rank high in terms of newer players in the market, see http://www.thetrexforums.com/?topic=5894.msg61820#msg61820 !

I guess this makes RotorZone happy  8-)

Sure it does  ;D

We did do our research on the opnions of regular fliers around the world as well as some top pilots before getting into it. So it is no surprise. We are aeromodelers first and wanted to get these models for our own flying. It incidentally led to us making it available for others in India as well.

Their retail website is in the works.  For now, you can contact them using the information available at

http://rotorzone.com/contacts.html

or you can PM "RotorZone" here.

I wish they also mentioned at least what other products they supported on the existing site, in addition to just the 2 products currently listed (while waiting for the full fledged online store).

Also the listing of spares and other tools will go a long way in reassuring the potential buyer of the commitment of ROTORZONE towards future support and services.

RotorZone

Thank you for the suggestions. The retail site is going to take some more time. However we'll upload parts list with prices before that. This should help the buyers see the parts stock list and see that the part prices are competetive too.

RotorZone

Parts prices are up. If you see something priced very high compared to competitive brands, it is probably because the price is for a pack of two like spindle shaft or tail shaft. Also if you are in need of a part that is not shown in stock, you could still contact us and we should be able to get you back in the air without any delay.

I guess for other stuff you sell (non-Compass), the prices will be whatever the dealer/MAP prices are.
