Hello Everyone

We at RCBharat are very proud to announce that we also ventured into EPS foam manufacturing in India and will be soon out with some wonderful foam models, so that we can completely stop importing Chinese stuff.

Foam sheets will also be available at the factory prices at our store and will be available only for store pick.
But bulk buyers i.e. 40+sheets (1m(len)x1m(brt)x12.5mm(thi)) can also have the shipping option available.

PS: Attaching some pics of our new factory. One can also notice the injection molding machinery.

Congrats! How much will such bulk orders (1m x1m x 12.5cm x 40 blocks) cost?

I had been wondering about any foam casting machines in india. If they exist, why dont they manufacture RC models :headscratch:

When are you launching the models?
I think, the costs(including shipping) will decrease upto 1/3 what we get from other countries.

Best wishes
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

Thanks very much
Sorry the thickness is 12.5mm not 12.5cm. (Typing error).
Each sheet will cost 200/- and I'm not sure about the shipping because all the 40 sheets will be 0.5cubic meters in volume.

Yes we can greatly reduce the shipping cost but the only problem is in manufacturing the moulds which may cost upto 2-4Lakhs per model.

If I pay for courier and sample, can you send me a piece of the foam?

Edit: Sorry, I didn't see your PM. Very kind of you. :salute:

WOW Great news.....
No waiting for the models. And sure the cost will be less then hobbyking.

Hugely popular models like Skysurfer, AXN . can be on Priority.
Russ-40 Trainer, Mr.moss, Pushler, Skysurfer, Mugi , F-22, Red swan, Xtra-300, redfury, flying mantaray.

A little more details where we can find EPS foam in daily applications.

1. In packing of LCD monitors, TV's and almost all sorts of electronics
2. Vaccination boxes
3. Cold storage boxes etc

It's 1/2" inch, correct, What could be the maximum density attainable in that machine.

Probably the first picture shows the Ceiling Fan packaging high density thermocol. So, it's be easy to have hot wire cutter with constant speed (Very Important). Else, you need dice for the shape during manufacturar.

For starting, you can make some
1. pusher type wing (two piece),
2. Extra300 type wing (2 piece) and
3. cessna wing (Single piece).
4. Common aerofoils.
And,
The wing pieces may be rough cut in Slabs (From 1 Cu Meter Slab) 1 meter single wing pieces may also be pre cut (200 x 25 x 1000). But the bubbles should be very good bonding strength among bubbles. This is because, I found high dencity depron in geyser packaging but useless for modeling as bondage strength is not so good ( proportional with processing/thermofoaming time).

This type of thermofoaming company is available in each A1 city (possibly more than one).
But finding them, taking responsibility for manufacturing is a tough decision for bulk. You may start searching in your own city by following model frutes of depron. They are manufactured in small units.

So, Congratulation and good luck. We are with you, Go Ahead. Thanks.
Thanks that we can get in appropriate shape.
We have to unite and to prove ourself to make indigenous products as well as marketing / Canvasing them. I'm sure we must achieve success if we try unitedly.

Thanks KALYANPRODHAN

This foam can be easily cut using a HOT wire.
Coming to the planes manufacturing we are yet to decide on molds or CNC hot wire cutters.

Our foam can be easily glued using all foam safe glues and epoxy.

The best part of this when compared to other foams is its very light weight.

I hope there will be some standard wing core in the inventory which we can order directly insted of ordering foam sheets. Something like this (PFA image)

Very good idea but again the shipping factor comes into action.
The wing alone will cost almost 80% in shipping a plane.

But, yes we can make them available for store pickups

I think people will be willing to bear the shipping cost for nicely cut cores. Plus the wing cores can be sent with their saddle (the remaning part of the foam from which the wing was cut) to protect the wing as shown in the picture above. To wing halves like that will just look like a big block of foam thant can be easily packed in a cardboard box.
Great initative by all means

RC... just a query.

Are you manufacturing the foam blocks or sourcing them ?
Are you planning to set up the factory ? or its already set up ? How / who would make the moulds...?

AEROVISHWA

any update on this....?? wondering if any one started manufacturing the models in India...
Aerodynamics are for people who can't build engines.
