The price will be has follows:

End Costumer price will be

SP = { Actual Cost + HK to India shipping + Customs [ For large items only ] } X Current USD price + 8% profit

Example:

Bixler Plane:: Actual Cost:65 USD Shipping: 26 USD Customs: 10 to 15 USD USD exchange rate: 55 INR

{ 65 + 26 + 6 } X 55 + 426.8  = 5761.8 Final Cost

Also post what u would like to see in the store.....

Assuming an overhead (rent, staff, communication, etc) of Rs. 80000 pm, break even is Rs 10 lakh sales per month. Not easy

Interesting idea... but many people are already selling HK items at competitive rates here.  The issue is that stock situation is very much piece meal (which makes total business sense).

At the same time, what I heard is that stores are selling 100s of simple radios every quarter... so there is definitely a large market here in India.  If you bring the right items, the risk of "dead stock" should be manageable.

Dear hemant sir,
as per my opinion, i even doesnt know what i may need at a moment. So i simply surf web on a few LHS i generally buy from. Nobdy has time to enquire all LHS for an item. At this point i look at hobbyking. But shipping time is the dissapointing issue.

So having nearly all items at a single store, what i meant by hobbbyking..

As per my interest is concerned, i generally go for small engine stuff.

sounds good. But it will work even better if HK takes an initiative and open a store  here and makes someone here as partner.

But, HK, India means hobby king rates difference not more than 30% difference in rate keeping shipping inside India extra.

You may compare the rates with other big LHSs who sell at competitive price. And that is possible only when you will be their channel partner so that you get the item at stockist price.

What Rate you have displayed is the thing we are getting from other LHSs also.
And the main thing is
"BALANCED STOCK"
so that your items always be available.

From user's point of view, we just want to reduce complete overhead by ordering a single body and that is why some low priced LHS can be ignored for increased shipping charges if I have to order to 2 or more LHSs for different items.

Again, here, I can see completely two different type of groups. One is like RCIndia or other educated (MARKET) and other college students of different engineering colleges who have no idea about cost vs quality, just purchase to finish project (Not only aeromodeling).

So, you can get the second market with better SEO and Stock. But for the first group of people, you have to maintain not only stock but also competitive price with other LHSs.

So, if you cannot be a dealer or stockist or any channel partner so that your shipping cost from China to India reduced, you have tough job. Again, Don't calculate for Christmas offer prices but calculate for the off peak periode.

The main thing is "YOU HAVE TO SENSE THE NURVE".

For example,

RCBazaar bring Rs.150/- Servos lots, but it was not available. Even you cannot get the spares of it's light weight low cost foamy.

And all LHSs highlights their earlier lowest price with Sold out items (Appx 75% items are sold out, Huh, what a STOCK). Please note that the price of $ in terms of :Rs: is fluctuating very much.

The best thing in your post seen is clarity. But what price you have taken as HK Price ? Do you have to pay VAT or flat rate tax ignoring VAT during import? What would be if any Parcel misplaced or tampered or damaged?

Trust me, I am not leg pooling you, as if you open your shop, I can get another competitor to LHSs but Does this be benificial to you? There are several questions behind your decision.

Hope for the good.

I respect all you guys, i don't know whether i am wrong or right, but from my point of view i think money is not a big issue for RC hobby kind of stuff, yes it's matter if i have a empty wallet, but for this kind of stuff i think i have to open my wallet a little bit bigger rather than i usually do for other things.

Yes, true. Money is not the issue.
Initially I have started my electronics experiments by preserving Bus-Fare from Jadavpur to Hazra.
But The issue is indian viewpoint, Though Someone have enough money and you have two among 3 items with lowest rate, you may not get the order as you have not 3rd item for which, he have to pay extra.

This is indeed great news. If i can get products like this
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__12668__German_Panther_RC_Tank_RTR_w_Airsoft_Tx.html
I would buy one at least once a month.

And just a quick side note, are there any places to get such tanks in india?

Its really a good idea. It will work out for sure. Because, there are so many RC enthuse in India and there are hardly 15 to 20 RC hobby shops available in India. For example if you take hyderabad city, there are so many RC enthuse, but we even do not have a single RC hobby shop here. We export all RC Stuff from other cities, some times directly ordering from HK and used to wait for days and weeks and so on...Even for a small JST plug we used to wait for long time.

we wish HK to take an initiative like, they should open at least one Hobby shop in India (especially in hyderabad) having/maintaining balanced stock and reasonable prices.

Ofcourse we have a local toy RC shop here, who used to cell a 4mm prop adapter for Rs.450, the same prop adapter is Rs.60 in RcBazaar in bangalore. :banghead:

Hi Hemanth. :)

The above post is in response to part of Kumardasai's posting ( Ofcourse we have a local toy RC shop here, who used to cell a 4mm prop adapter for Rs.450, the same prop adapter is Rs.60 in RcBazaar in bangalore. Bang Head ).  :P Not meant to discourage you or your commitment to the cause of RC.

After posting my letter above, it occurred to me that this may be misunderstood. Actually, Kumardasai's letter reminded me one of my own experiences with the you-know-who's shop  ;D. Who would not love to be in the Hobby, if he gets all he wants to keep going in one place? Keep up the good work and all the best. Wishing you success.
