On Tuesday night, I placed an order from Hobbyking European warehouse.  Today at 11 am, the courier showed up!  That was about 36 hours from pushing the paynow paypal button to having the goods arrive at my front door.

The shipping cost was about $6.50 from 500 gram worth of small lipo batteries.  I also noticed that even if I order 2.5 Kg worth of stuff, the shipping price was the same.

Netherlands is the best place to be for fast Hobbyking items!  The scenery is also very nice.

Hobbyking outdid themselves!  I pushed the order button yesterday at 2 pm.  Today at noon, the parcel was at my front door. Less than 24 hours and less than $7 shipping cost for 2kg of items. The warehouse is about 30 mins away and apparently the workers work fast so yeah I'm lucky.

Oops!!! For a moment I thought that I can get this experience sitting in India then I realise that you are in the Netherlands.
Anyways. All the East Asian postal service are nothing but sham . I get my packages much faster from US and UK stores , when compared to China and Hongkong.

Recently the customs in India have become from bad to worse. One particular courier asked 9,000 from my friend as "Brokerage Charges" which was nothing but local custom office asking bribe to release the package.

My experience, Fedex That way is very reliable with Indian Customs too . For the first time however you need to fulfill KYC norms by providing documentation and completed forms for the first package you interact through fedex. All subsequent packages are all through same KYC data till such time you don't come into the Trader Import bracket   ;). Then you would have to apply and obtain IEC for your dealings.

But be prepared to pay customs always.  ;D
