This post will be helpful for the novice people who are entering into flying.


I wanted to buy DJI Phantom.

SoFirst I was looking for some friend who can get it from chaina and I missed it
One of my friend was already left chaina and he was coming back to India.

Then I thought lets find someone here who can get it properly I was okay to pay
Customs because I want to start as soon as possible. Next day I found there is one shop
In Ahmedabad who are DJI dealer I called them up and they said they can get it from chaina.

After asking so many question I transferredmoney into their account.

Next day Nilesh from spherehobbies called me  And asked me about why I want to
Purchase phantom. I said I m a photographer in architectural and want expand
It a little more with aerial shots.

Then Nilesh told me that I am going in wrong direction as phantom is not for professional
Photography. I was thinking that he want to sell me other expensive thing that's why he is saying so.
But he gave me many reasons like go pro can only transmit wifi signal upto 50 meters and
If I will fly more than that I will not be able to see anything on my laptop screen ... Which is true.
It's there on go pro site that the range is 50m and which is very less.

He than suggested me dji f550. Cost almost thrice 1.25 lakh.
I was very confused because i never used RC and dji f550 was looking very complicated to me...
then he told me that come to Ahmedabad fly his f550 and if I will crash he will give me my money back.

I came to Ahmedabad and he trained me how to fly. First day he showed me how to fly.
Second day he gave me controls after takeoff.
Third day I landed my self and fourth day he gave me all the controls. I have not told him till this time about my purchase that i will buy phantom or f550 or not.

But he was daily giving me training sessions for 1 hour.
Yesterday I told him that I will buy f550 and he is now building one for me.
I am at Ahmedabad he told me after complete build up fly two more days with him and then
I can get it home. In these five days I learned many things. He told me stay at workshop when he was building for me
so that I can learn what part it what and how to trouble shoot.

He also told me to join his commercial shoot which he has done yesterday.

Nilesh is really  nice person and has genuine advice for everyone.
