IMHO EMS is best and reliable service but not for everyone.

Guys catching up with you my experience with all are quite PATHETIC ... NOT ONLY DOES EMS N DTDC throw their parcels even fedex and bluedart do the same .... according to me the speed and carefully handling parcel  depends on the overall logistic traffic over  that specific place .... Before some time lets say around few years back these event were not so rampant ...Companies such as Bluedart,Fedex, even First Flight etc delivered parcel on time as those days sites such as Flipkart,Snapdeal, etc were quite not so popular and mostly people in big cities and metros accessed them the most ... But now as e-commerce has evolved so much in India resulting in clogging up all logistic companies   the sufferer is basically people like us as there is more importance to e-commerce giants as most of the money these logistic companies make is from them .... honestly speaking  EMS has now become the fastest ........but one has to pack really well to withstand the beating ,throwing............

I would like to inform all buyers and other customers who are trying to reach us, we are facing a huge power failure due to which post office is not taking any parcel. And we are expecting this power failure to be resolved by today evening.

I am very sorry for the inconvenience caused, we would be back to business from tomorrow and start shipping orders ASAP.

Thanks for your understanding and co-operation

That's cool, I have placed my next set of orders with quadkopters

FedEx is on the verge of expansion and setting up their domestic operations in full swing, there can always be multiple shipping options including premium ones such as Bluedart and fedex if buyer wants quick and safe delivery and ready to pay price then why not.

anilntny

Well said, I don't mind paying extra for FedEx

I placed my 3rd set of order with quadkopters just now,I can't stop buying ;)

satyagupta

Sir that's 3rd order, continuously on 3rd day. Good for us but if you would have placed all 3 orders together it would have costed you the half of the shipping that you have paid so far.

I am thinking of building my first quad with ST360 kit at http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/360-arf-kit-w-kk2-1-controller/ . I don't have any previous experience of building a quad and have only flown a Syma X5C-1 RTF. Eventually my intention is using the quad to click photos and videos. But I can't invest that much at this moment. I need a few suggestions regarding building the ST360 quad.

1. As I understand from the link, I need to get a 3 Cell LiPo, a Radio and a LiPo charger.
(a)Can you suggest models of a decent radio which works with the quad but doesn't cost too much?
(b) Please suggest a LiPo which will give decent flying time (at least 10 min) and a Charger too. I may need to buy multiple LiPos, now or later, depending on the cost.

I need to keep the overall cost as low as possible.

2. What other accessories do I need apart from the kit, the radio, Lipo and charger? For example, do I need to get bullet connectors, additional screws and nuts, spacers, any additional connectors and wires, straps etc.?

3. Is there any link/video that you are aware of which discusses building a ST360 quad? Please provide a link if possible.

4. Do I need to flash the controller or something to get the basic functionalities?

5. Is it possible to get the newer KK 2.1.5 board instead of the KK 2.1 with the kit?

6. Will it be possible to add a GPS module and FPV in the future?

Thanks in advance.

ashimda

1. Cheap radios: Flysky or Turnigy 9X.

2. The kit does not come with bullet connectors. Not really needed if you can solder. Zip ties are always a good idea.

3. http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/buildlog-st360-quadcopter-by-rahulvyas/

4. KK comes preloaded with FW. You can upgrade FW later if required.

5. Thats up to Satya.

6. Not with the KK board.

Welcome to the forum.

Ashim.

satyagupta

Thanks Ashim,

About point 5, KK 2.1 and KK2.1.5 are almost same. Not much of the difference.

But yes now the kits come with KK2.1.5 not KK2.1

I own a ST 360 quad (bought from quadcopters.com) and can assure you that it's a great kit for a beginner. Loads of people here own this quad and can guide you with the build if you decide to purchase it.

1. (b) I get 12 - 15 min flight time with a 2200 mAh LiPo with great flight characteristics.

3. There are no build videos out there as the construction part is simple enough. Problems arise only due to improper electrical connections and configuration.

If you are really certain about adding a camera and GPS later on, get the ST 360 kit priced at Rs. 3500. It comes with bullet connectors and all required hardware.
http://www.quadkopters.com/product/rtf-kit-and-frames/st360-kit/

Then get an APM flight controller board and a 4-in-1 ESC module. The APM is easier to configure and use than the kk board. You can also add GPS, compass, fpv, telemetry etc later. A 4-in-1 ESC module is easier to connect and costs less than buying 4 individual ESCs.

I understand that you want to keep the cost low but getting cheaper stuff will only cost you more later.

Welcome to RC India!  ;D
