Title: RCFORALL : New Developments
Post by: rcforall on June 03, 2011, 05:18:06 PM
Guys , Have been off the forum for a while as we are re-orienting and restructuring our operations . 1) Our main effort has been to arrive at MRP Prices including all taxes , Duties etc.
THE AIM OF THE PRICING BIT IS TO ENSURE THERE ARE NO HIDDEN COSTS TO THE BUYER WHAT IS DISPALYED ON THE SITE SHOULD BE WHAT A BUYER PAYS FOR .
In fact we will be coming out with a MRP Price list very soon where most small and medium sized parcels will not have courier extra . ( WILL UPLOAD IT HERE FOR ALL TO SEE AND DOWNLOAD ) . It is only the volume packages which are likely to have shipment extra ( THESE WILL BE HIGHLIGHTED CLEARLY IN THE PRICE LIST ).
Attached is the first one the for MOSS and Shikra new reworked prices .
2) We will also be coming out with a whole range of new Combo offers pretty soon . Some interesting pricing for many of the existing products will also be seen.
3) Lipo batteries will now carry a 6 months warranty , we have decided not to compromise on the quality.
4) We have introduced a bar Coding system with Price stickers on each product which will be the same anywhere in India .
5) Attractive Value Based discounts and margins will be applicable to wholesale B2B buyers including on combo offers.
6) New product lines and Brands will be added in the near future .
7) Website is being upgraded with on line payment gateway under integration www.rcforall.co.in (suggestions welcome)
SPECIAL ATTENTION RETAILERS : WE SET UP A WHOLE SALE ARM FOR DEVELOPING BUSINESS WITH RETAILERS FROM ACROSS INDIA . EXISTING RETAILERS ARE WELCOME TO DEAL IN OUR PRODUCTS AS WE ARE OFFERING ATTRACTIVE DISCOUNTS ON OUR MRP PRICES BASED ON VALUE OF PURCHASES .
RETAILERS CAN SEND YOUR ENQURIES TO . THIS ACCOUNT WILL BE ONLY FOR B2B CUSTOMERS .
So in short lots of developments going on which will be getting on line pretty soon but everything takes time so will keep you all updated as we go along.

Good business effort... should open up opportunities in others cities (I can see Kochi, Kerala being one of the cities needing a good hobby store).
About the website... I see it is a work in progress, but couple of things I wanted to highlight is that no spell checks seems to be done ("rassword" instead of "password" on the front page and so on). Please do review all content. Secondly, it is a good design rule that the color scheme of the site follows the chosen colors of an existing website (if their logo is already colorful), but in this case, it seems like your logo seems to stand out a bit awkwardly as compared to the rest of the stuff. It would have looked a lot better if some of the logo colors are incorporated into the overall design of the site.
Also, in all your site designs, I see that the grouping of items are a bit confusing. For example, there is no one master category for airplanes, it is spread out in many places. The same applies to other items also. It would be good to group similar items together, and then do subgrouping under that. Finally provide a manufacturer level selection option also. This seems to make navigation (and finding what you are looking for) very easy, as experienced on many other sites.

Here are the MRP Price list :
1) Super Combos MRP : Courier Included 2) Items MRP list : Courier included 3) Items for which courier would be extra.
We are interested to develop retailers in other cities as well. Dealer discount and dealer prices will be communicated by e mail , these dealer discounts are based on MRP . The email for dealer correspondence is

Its nice to see some changes happening to your website and the pricing etc  All the best!
On the home page, The kid and Father do not look at the plane at all :headscratch: Its as if, while flying, they, all of a sudden, saw Katrina Kaif standing there (:|~
cheers!

Ankit made a very valid observation : The IMAX B3 Charger is much Higher on E bay than the price list . Price changes are quite drastic in many cases hence this disparity will be there for a few days . We are correcting the prices in a day or two on E bay and the website. Till that is done mails will be the route to take we will make sure that buyers don't loose out on account of this delay by working it out on a case to case basis over this week.

Site mentions "Only shop in India to hold license to import 2.4GHz systems". Is this true? I do recall Indian Hobbies making similar claims regards to DX6i sometime back.

Am I the only one seeing this? When I click on a Products sub menu, items displayed have no relation to the heading / what I clicked on. This is what I'm seeing. Anything wrong with my browser or do others see it too?

And just to clarify, is there something wrong with the prices mentioned as far as the CF rods are concerned? Your site is offering 1mm and 3 mm CF rods at (it seems, as my right click doesn't seem to work) Rs. 350/- and Rs. 480/- per piece respectively (?) when the same items are available at Rs. 44.40 and Rs. 119.20 with another reputed LHS in India.
I'm sure you are quoting combo prices comprising multiple units otherwise there cannot be such a gross disparity of prices from two reputed LHS's catering to and being members on the same forum. Unless the products on offer are vastly superior in quality.
Sai Sir, please rectify these glitches asap.
Regards.

As Anwar put it this is work under progress and as I mentioned earlier it will take till around month end to get all these problems resolved .
keep every small observation what so ever coming we will take them seriously and get them resolved.

VC , CF and Balsa especially of lower thickness are sold in packs of 3 nos . The reason is we have had serious damages to these products when sending by courier. All our prices are including all taxes ( no hidden costs ) . As you would see in the price list in case of CF it falls in the courier extra price list.
For such products more qty will average out courier prices significantly.

We welcome individuals or shops from other cities ( existing or new ventures ) to start selling our products as retailers . We have had a good response from Maharashtra ,Gujarat and other cities in Tamilnadu where you could see our products being sold pretty soon , look forward to more responses from other states as well. A Show room is not essential , what is required is the will to run a business . The Dealer discounts are in line with those offered internationally in the industry
Cannot reveal them on a forum but can assure our associates a good earning potential.

Sai, your site still seems to have navigation issues (I am using safari on mac). I was checking your grouped MRP pdf file. One suggestion is that for motor, you have put the model number and Kv rating. Could you please also put up extra info like wattage, lipo cell rating and weight? would help

Dear Mr. Sai,
I am interested to buy an Almost ready to fly (ARF, if I am not wrong). In your recent group list, several ARF's like Piajet, Yak 54 mini, Cessana are available at huge discounts compared to your ebay listings. What is included or not included with the kits??
I have another querry for Mr. Sai and all others.
What is the best ARF for following electronics. I want a slow flyer which can be controlled easily.
I understand that 3S will be too big for 2805. But I can purchase 2S for that.

First of all the price list has been released but updating of these on E bay and our site is in progress . So send a mail on of your requirement and we will list your requirement specially on E Bay for you if you intend buying from e bay if you intend buying directly that is also possible.
1) Depends on the level of flying you are looking at , Beginners or slightly higher 2) If beginners then Shikra is a good bet , if higher then YAK 54 3D from techone will be an interesting plane , if you need a wing waiting for the POWING from techone could also be a good idea . 3) Using a 3S on a 2805 2800 KV is possible but the prop size above 4 " is not recommended but that will entirely be dependent on the type of aircraft. 4) If Shikra is the plane then the 2800 KV motor could be used with 2S for a stable flight with a 5 " prop.
Hope this answers you doubts. rgds sai

Sai Sir, EDPs (MOT50EDP04) are again included in stock. As these are DC brushed coreless motors, What is the detailed spec? Like, thrust, BEC operated or not? They are Motor + prop or only motor?
Can we use this in free flying models only? If no, what will be the matched ESC and servos to be used? Looks small and low wattage.
Is there any IR or Radio based receiver with servo/magnatic actuator like plantraco ?
In fact, though only 2 channel, I loved indoor plane very much. But internally there only 5 steps there & sharp turning not possible. But microcontroller can easily be programmed for the same and can easily be used as cheap receiver & actuator driver.
Any one here to make the same ?

I dont think you would need to use an ESC in the case of Free flight . Just connect the battery to the + and - terminals and as the voltage drops on discharge the speed will drop and the plane will glide back to ground. The package is a shown including props.
No we don't have IR based receiver with actuators.

Sai -
One serious suggestion about the website. Please reduce the size of the header area. It is one thing to have a big header in the home page, but the header taking up 50% of the space even in individual product pages is completely against any logic in webpage design.
That "sliding in" flash animation etc are all cool on the home page, but after that, it gets boring very soon in the inside pages and it forces people to scroll unnecessary.
A simplified header for all pages except the home page would be very welcome change.

Site goes down several times showing problem in /... This type of problem comes from serverside programming (like PHP/Parl like scripting program while linking with database.) and persists for even more than 6 hours. Please use suitable server side programs that handy to you.
Site orientation needs basic tuning (Use of every pixel) as Anwar said. Of course your site hit will increase as web designer students soon be referred to your site to experience bad-design.
One more thing, details of items should be little elaborative. Not in Language but in Data.
Another issue. Please keep the items price list as PDF at homepage so that it can be accessed even when your update in progress. Even something to start with rather than BIG ZERO.
Thanks
