Hi Guys,
I had ordered some stuff .... the tracking details are below... I have not yet recieved the item... please advise next steps.....
Best:
Stay calm - do not panic - wait and watch.
Since it is already out for your local destination, you will get the same in next 10-15 days max.
Nothing, just wait. Mine usually takes about 25-30 days to reach home. It will land up in Delhi within 7-10 days, then its upto the customs to clear it. I have ordered quite a few times and this is the time it takes for air parcel and about 8-12 days for ems.
Pankaj
Pankaj, my parcel has already been checked by customs and has been sent to my residence from Mumbai, however I have still not recieved it, its been 8 days sice it was sent from Mumbai
Divay,
Don't go by what the HK post reports on the indian customs/posts. The process is (as I have noticed) that the parcel will be received by the foreign post office (FPO), which then sends the packet to the customs for clearance, the customs sends it back to FPO and then it is transferred to local/domestic post offices. I have had instances where HK posts has reported the same, whereas the foreign post office did not acknowledge the receipt back from customs.
Usually packets reach Delhi directly, unless you have ordered something that large by weight/volume in which case the route is via Mumbai.
Thanks for the info Pankaj, I have ordered a .60 glow engine and the weight is approx. 2kg
my advice:
Wait for a few more days. No need to panic before 40 days from the date of dispatch. 40 days may seem long, but some parcels may take such time to arrive at your doorstep. Do not trust the post office reports. They are not updated so frequently. Have patience... you will get it.
Cheers !!!
Thanks Saurabh... your words are comforting... ;)
Thats right. dont jump the guns and call them. Wait for at least 2-3 weeks after the package reaches your Local FPO (should be Delhi).
As Pankaj sir told, HK Post/Swiss post tracking good till it reaches India. After that its is pure Babu-ism. This is how your package reaches you
Hobby King --> HK Post --> HK Out bound Customs (creating issue wit LiPo these Day) --> On board Cargo Plane --> Reaches Inland Port in India (Chennai, Mumbai, Calcutta, Delhi) --> Inland customs does a X-ray to check if the package does nto contains hazardous item (This is what showed in the tracking as waiting customs) --> Item sent to your nearest FPO (foreign post office) --> The Customs PAD (Postal Appraisal Dept) inspect the package at the FPO premises and stop any items it suspect. They may open evaluate the item to pass without any duty or put a Challan to collect X amount as duty --> If cleared, it reaches your Local Post Office and the Post man delivers to you (Taking any duty is challaned).
Calling impatiently may attract unnecessary attention of the babu's. Wait for 2 weeks and wee if they send any notice to show invoice. Visit there anyway after 3 weeks if they don't send any invoice.
If they do call, go prepared with invoice and a description of what it is. That would be a little tricky with the glow engine.
Thanks ujwaana, that was a detailed description, appreciate it.... I think I will take your advise and wait.....
Non registered? SHould have reached u by now. Hope the post man has not stolen it. :o Didnt know that the non registered had a tracking number also :headscratch:
Hi Vinay,
Yes now HK provides tracking number for non registered parcels also...
Guys,
I placed a Order with HK, last saturday night International Airmail (registered). The item is not shipped yet, any clue how many days it will be between the time when I make the payment and they ship the item ??
Regards,
Dhruv...
sometimes as long as a week, but usually within 2-3 working days

Hobby King would keep it in 'Processing' state for 48-72 hours. After that they would change to "Shipped" wherein they would provide a Tracking number.
The tracking number immediately wont show anything on the Potage site (like HK Post). Only after 2 days would see item acknowledged at HK Post site.
Item would normally leave Hong Kong in 5-7 days of placing the order.
Now whatever HK Fans say, this still sucks with Hobby King. Normally items leave US with a TowerHobbies order within 3 days. With HK + HK Post, 7 days is not good.
Divay,
What happened to you OS engine ? do share your experience, if not in public, PM to people who seek it, like me.
Open An HK india and ship the same day :P
Parcels are reaching my home 10 to 11 days after booking.
Guys,
My HK 500 kit has been shipped from HK warehouse, they have sent a tracking number too with the following instructions:
"ALWAYS QUOTE YOUR ORDER ID WHEN YOU EMAIL US
YOUR ORDER MAY TAKE UP TO 45 DAYS TO ARRIVE.
IMPORTANT
1) To check on the status of your order please log into your account on our website.
It can take up to 48hrs for the tracking details to become active within the postal system.
2) If you are unsure of the location of your parcel please contact the postal office in your country.
3) If your parcel arrives damaged or opened, DO NOT accept it unless you open the parcel in front of the courier/postman to check and count contents, or reject the parcel as being damaged and have it returned to sender and notify us straight away.

You talking about the 'Best Case' scenario. I have even waited 40 days.
Divay, wait till 1st week of Oct. I told you earlier, Engines are tricky like Tx.
My Average is 14 to 15 days.
Is that really average over all the parcels ? Or just the last few ones ?
I made my lst order on 23rd, and till date it is not showing on HK Post, though HK gave the Tracking# in 2 days.
Sir,
Patience, is the key to victory
Good things come to those who wait for it with perseverance and patience; but the impulsive and impatient person will pass from trouble to trouble.
Patience is what separates saints from the ordinary people.

I use patience a plenty and have suggested the same to other folks on the forum as well. I was just replying Vinay that these packages dont arrive in time all the time and usually takes 5 days to leave Hong Kong itself.
