Dear friends,

I belong to Jodhpur and am there every year for a month plus.... One of the places which I visit regularly is Sharma Models as we are good friends and we have known each other for over 30 Years now.  Well them being the pioners of this hobby in India, their products are well knows by all of us.

The few good things I saw out there were the UMS engines made by UMS Tenchologies based at Coimbatore (http://www.umstech.in/).  I was astonished to find their .46 engine costing under Rs 5,000/- and in use at Sharma Models.  They engine was extremly easy to start and it performed very well.... and was extremly silent even at full throttle.  The picture of the engine is placed here.

The second good things was the Radial 7 cylindered UMS engine of 260 cc costing about Rs 2,00,000/-  Well it was a marvel for any aeromodeller to even see such an engine.  They also have smaller 7 cylindered Glow plug engines which are of 35 and 77 CC and cost nearly Rs 75,000/-

The third good thing - OS Motors... (from the makers of OS Max Engines) these motors of thrust of 2-3 kgs were very silent unlike the NTM or other motors we buy from HK... Though there were of twice or more cost.  But the cost was offet by the very low power consumption.  Used one of thes emotors on the Orange Box (6ft RC Glider) and it flew for over 30 minutes with motor used a lot for climbs and loops.... and then we flew it again for 30 more minutes with just 40% of the 2200 mAh 3 cell Lipo still remaining.  Was scared that the pencil cells in the Tx may give up on such long flights....  Similar was the case with Premimum quality EMax motor of 400 - 600 gm thrust, flew my speedster on a 1500 mAh Lipo on the motor and notched three flights of 10, 8 and 7 minutes with 15 % of the lipo life still left.

Picked up half a dozen Emax 11 gm Metal gear servos.. they also have carbon fibre servos of 11 gm and standard size i.e. 30 gms

Here are the picturs of all these things...

Got some Balsa wood from them and a Laser cut kit of Swan (size 46 trainer) from them..... Also as usual picked up my requirement of Propellers from them as I mostly use their propellers on my motors.... The sizes available are 8x4, 8x6, 9x5, 9x6, 10x6 and 12x6.  Their Nylon propellers are excellent and they fly very well on my motors... not that I have not used their Glass Filled Nylon propellers..... I have been using them too.

were you able to check out ums25 glow engine, i see that ums 46 look real nice. So the pictures were taken at sharma models premises ? in that a hitec optima 7/6 ch receiver near the radial engine (3rd picture).
Today might be a great and wonderful day. It depends on you.

Yes... you are right... thats the Sharma Model premises and the radial is kept on the Main office table with the Hitech or a Futaba radio next to it.

OK UMS 25.... as per the Sharma's is a rather sketchey as it heats up a bit... maybe better cooling will be ok.

The EMax Serovs of 11 gm metal and carbon fibre gears are available with them and also in sized of 22-28 gm and standard 40 gms.... Metal and Carbon fibre servos....

Have been using their propellers on my Electrical motors..... usually the 9x6 and 10 x 6 for my Kaiser and Super Pacer..... now plan to use their 12 x 6 with the OS motor on the Super pacer....  The standard props are Glass filled nylon.... but the pure Nylon props are better.... Both from Sharma's
