I was just wondering with coming of new hobby shops now and then for the India market who just stock the majorly HK stuff and some other Chinese brands to sell. What will be there future IF HobbyKing opens the warehouse in india.  As they may be part timers or spending time on make few bucks, but will they be survive or will be old enough to change/start the new business/career ? if HK comes to india too like other countries.

This is not for the well established LHS like RCD, RCB, rc for all , sphere hobbies etc. who have quality inventory, physical setup and excellent customer support.

This was just a though of mine, and didn't meant to hurt anyone business or feelings.

Also no one knows if HK will ever come here ;)

i dont know how you can even imagine that with the funny regulations that our government has against rc.....
anyone who know the pain of customs when importing something will surely never even think of it

@dhineshkk - i don't think govt. is against the rc, do you have documents/references for it? the custom pain is a temp thing as when such giants start the work, they do not have any such obstacles because of there hired resources.   You will see the Indian market full of Chinese stuff from toys to electronics, how all is that getting in the country?

Anand is right, the way the hobby is growing in India, HK has a huge market.

Bixler few days back visited India. Does it have any idea of doing so ?

It will no doubt be good for the Indian Hobbyist if HK does indeed come here, though frankly I don't see that happening: there are bigger and better markets for them in the West. They have hardly done much in the USA, where they might keep a chain of stores, the market size justifying this.

On the fate of the Indian local stores; all I can say is free market economy and survival of the fittest!

I guess we will have loads of fun!

My MBA lecturer once said "China is destroying the world markets, they're being ruthless". My response to her argument was "Business *is* ruthless, if they're able to do it at that price, they'll leave the rest behind"

It will be good for us, but I don't think there is much RC in India for them to justify a warehouse.

@sujith - i think there is lot of rc item needs in colleges also, other than hobby need. The students from colleges all over india needs the rc stuff for the college projects and that also for every batch students, so possibly the supply for them will also required all the time.

anyway its just the thought :)
