Thank you sir

That's just life gentle reminder that, one more summer less left to celebrate, i started ticking off my Bucket List some time ago, only handful left to tick off though, Ironman, Comrades Marathon, Base Jumping, Wing Suit, Europe are some of them :giggle:

Engine Overhaul day

Started early in the morning and finished at around 2100 hrs.

1. Opened first batch of engines and gave it a good wash scrub and put back
2. Changed two connecting rods
3. One flywheel needed change as well
4. Three bearing showed initial signs of rusting, they too had to go
5. Piston head of TT was burnt. Gave it a good head ;)

All engines are good to go back to models now

PS
I am throwing all the Castor oil away, none of these engines and the carb were moving, two bottles of WD40, Anti Rust Spray, Spirit, Methonol, Heat and Hard work got them released. had hard time removing those greasy shite away

PPS
Four more batches to go

Just kidding sirji, not compelling you to do anything crazy 😜

Gusty I have never met an engine stuck due to congealed castor that did not move with a good bit of all around warming up with a heat gun and a prop attached to rock up the parts. Post that it is a simple matter of passing some fresh fuel or meth to free up things.
Curious, what necessitated the the con rod change? Which engines? These are generally fool proof

rcpilotacro

Finally heat gun after all that softening effort did it i guess. Con Rod was When i crashed the yellow bird of mine, along with the carb, hub of the rod had cracked. i was foolish enough to experiment the orange 3 channel stabiliser unit from Hobby King on a perfectly flying beautifully set machine, flicked into the ground on a level run right in front of me

PS
Looking for ASP carb with remote needle if you have them for ASP 0.52

PPS
if you look closely one of them is missing the carb, i have put out Nation Wide APP for the Carb :)

As for carb you can very well use a carb from OS on the ASP. Are you in need of a carb or the remote NVA alone? RCD should have both ASP and OS. I would suggest OS 46 items as replacement.

In one of my Youtube videos, friends from across continents commented that that a particular sim video was made with pirated software (Real Flight) i got the comment removed. Just in case, they have any doubt (they do visit our forum too) and to tell all and sundry that Real Flight i really good ( i was a once a big fan of Aerofly though). Here are my two sims RF 6.5, software upgraded to RF 7, i bought the Mega Pack too
