hellow,
i am sarosh s raj of class 8 studying in choice school ernakulam.i love this field 'rc'.i am a begginner.want to learn a lot about it.i was looking for an organisation like this for past 3 years.i coudnt find it.i am glad that there are people to teach me like this.my father used to make these models and fly it when he was in ncc in school.can you tell me how to start with it?
                                                               I JUST LOVE   ''  RC  ''

Sarosh..Welcome to RCI.. as you mentioned, RCying is a great excitement and sheer pleassure for hours, only, if you are serious about it.. if you are casual, it feel like playing with a cheep toy.. so, getting in to RCying will take some patience, and dedication.. so, after logging in, to RCI, you must go to the RC GEMS, in WELCOME PAGE, and you must spend some time, while reading some valuable posts there, by many Veterans of RCying fields.. from there you will get a clear idea about RCying, machines, techs, ideas, electronics, materials and lots more.. can also feel the pulse and experience of many dedicated modellers from there, from own experiences, and all flaws are corrected by experts as well.. aso, make some time, spend it with readings.. again..again..  a lots.. so, after a few time, you will realize that how exciting and rewarding RCying is.. have some nice crafts and RCying... :hatsoff:

Welcome to the forum Sarosh.

roopesh,i have an rc boat.can you please tell me how i can increase its transmission rang?

roopeshkrishna

Sarosh..  usually it is not a necssesary to increase the effective range of a radio system.. because it is actually developed to serve us in a manner of RCying.. i do not know what type of radio you have.. in MHz based radio, we must need a long antenna, long, especially for long distances.. that is why, you can see a long flexible antenna with all MHz based receivers.. one of the most criteria of a diminished radio range in a MHz ( Mega Hertz) radio set is wrong installation of antenna itself.. to save space in craft, or because of lazyness we always winds the antenna wires together.. this is a very wrong work.. because all we know, here the antenna works as a conductor, who is energized by the passing radio waves through air..( the radio wave is simply electro magnetic waves).. we know , that when a magnetic flux cuts a conductor, there must be an iduced current in that conductor.. means, when a radio wave hits an antenna, a particular current will be induced in the antenna..

so, when we winds the antenna together, the direction of magnecit field around the antenna will be opposite in direction, and it cancles each other.. because of this the induced current never reaches the main board of the receiver.. this makes the range diminished.. so always try to keep your antenna full streached.. and you can use some types of input boosters.. this increases range up to 40 % extra.. in GHz (Giga Hertz) sets you can easily install the antenna in 90 degree position on any craft..  this will works fine.. usually the effective range of a hobby radio is about line of sight..
