Its really nice to have a site dedicated to hobbies. These kind of hobbies are not much appreciated by people, since they feel its a waste of money and time.
I have never been a newbie to RCing. I had a RC car which was gifted to me by my dad when I was a kid.
Recently my brother brought an RC heli, the Alloyshark(see pic) from Manchester. It was a 2 channel heli. I had a fun time learning to fly the heli which felt like it had a mind of its own whenever it took off!!
Next he bought another one from Singapore, and this one was a 3 channel one. Flying this baby was a piece of cake, and it was then that I understood the difference between a 2 channel and 3 channel heli.
The only crib I have about these helis are that there are very light and seriously not for outdoor flying. Also the battery lasts for only 15 mins, which is bad, because by the time you start enjoying the flight and are getting used to it, the damn thing runs out >:(
