OMG i am new and see what i found a Treasure trove still in deep seas
Tell Roopesh to stay on and helping poor people like me to get on to something.
He thinks nobody needs him but in fact all need him
One thng i would like to say is roopesh is of the opinion that he wants to leave everything and go since he doesn't have a family
but we all need to remind him that He has one big family now (RCindia) and in a family troubles, fighting, love, sarcasms and compassion all go hand in hand.
One thing i have to say personally  to roopesh is nothing but
[   :salute:  {:)}  :giggle:     ;D   ;)  get well soon  ]  also it doesn't matter if your are on a bed your body might give up but not your brains wont.   So keep contributing and this will ease your pain.

VC

This should explain it!  ;D

Gorilla and Chimp both would like to be friends with Roopesh and see him back on th forum as soon possible. Full stop!

Shouldn't we be able to 'Forgive and Forget' , brush it off as Juvenile delinquency !!, able to accept him back, if he comes upfront and accepts his error?

First step to restoring credibility would be his apologising  on all the other forums too.  Cautious optimism would be MY take on the future.

I know Roopesh well before I joined in RCI, to start a friendship I acknowledged in his youtube videos, but he ignored me. After he joined in RCI, I came to know that :
(a) He is a mechanical engg. Graduate.
(b) He is suffering from spinal injury.
(c) His sister is assisting him in making models.

These three points touched my heart because I too have these three points in common. A mech. Engg. , suffered similar spinal injury (VC sir aware of this fact), and my sister was helping me in school days when I was in my model building hobbies.

We all are here because of a similar characteristic that is hobby. Like people see TV, Movies, Photography, going pubs, traveling etc etc, we spend little bit of money and leisure time doing rc activities. It is our hobby not profession. Too much involvement in this hobby will ruin our financial status, family life and even social life. First we have to look after our family, staffs, business or profession etc. then this hobby. Purchasing hobby materials as well as rc stuffs is too expensive and sky is the limit. Even it can ruin a person like Ambani. Last month my younger son (8 years old) asked me "Dad why don't you sell all your ships and purchase two bicycles; one for me and one for elder brother" and he is right. I should concentrate more on them, their education etc. etc.

In this case I would like to advice Roopesh to be bold & strong in character, as money is lost- nothing is lost, health is lost-something is lost, and character is lost everything is lost. Don't seek sympathy from others and never publish unnecessary family affairs in an open forum. Be bold, concentrate more on earning from business, and get some good contracts from NCC or from similar organisation.

I and even everyone from RCI would love to see him back.

Who has not been frustrated with one's situation, at point in life or another ? And I see opportunities for a builder like Roopesh opening up just through this forum itself (like the gentleman from the US who was looking for scale modellers).... a lot more can happen if there is a bit more careful marketing (if money is an objective for whatever reasons).

Yes, RC India would like to see the TRUE Roopesh back here.

Why do I get the feeling that we are all going a little overboard in flying this "Welcome back, all is forgiven" flag?

The other forum, where he was crowned a superhero and voted 'Model Boater of the year' and feted by 5000+ members has quietly suspended his account. His status is now shown as 'inactive'. I'm not saying that we should follow them, but enough has been done by us, counselling, personal calls, good natured advice, in short - EVERYTHING except us apologising to him.

I feel we all have better things in life to do and we should just carry on with it and let this thread die a natural death.

This is my personal opinion and the others may or may not agree with it.

I am totally with you on this. We tend to go overboard - particularly with platitudes. Note the - again in my opinion - excessive use of the "bowing down" emoticon in posts. Should be reserved for something really admirable and deserving of special praise but has lost its significance through overuse.

I also know this will cause a lot of heartburn to many. But what I am trying to get at is that our approach should be more balanced and mature. This case, in particular, cries out for that.

Then again, "we are like that only"!

with VC and Sushil on this, we have done what we have to, it is entirely upto him now. To be or not to be.

Another school of thought is what VC brought out, BHMB or whatever (Pun intended) that boat forum is, recognized his work with the same fervor as his Juvenile delinquency (I still want to believe it was Juvenile, for simple reason that rep #22 #23 our antennae went up, so his disguise obviously was done in a very non professional manner) in making his account in active

WingCo, stop fooling yourself. In this forum the majority of members are men and they have viewed your picture more than mine only because my manly good looks are too much for them to handle. So there!  :giggle:

I am posting my picture on my profile so that others can appreciate my good looks, better!

Forgiving or not forgiving is a personal choice / opinion ;)
