Hi Everyone,

I am Prithvi and i am from Chennai.It was my childhood fantasy to build a Plane and finally after so many year i have managed to build one. Searching through the Internet i stumbled upon this forum and i am super impressed to see so much activity in this hobby.Ii have build a plane(MikesRc - trainer ) with 1000KV motor and 9X6 prop and during this journey have learnt quite a lot stuff required to make a plane fly. I have also invested in Turingy 9x -M2 radio and got myself a App on my tablet to train on RC flights.

The most important thing is that,i have not done my maiden flight and and the flight is still in my hanger(under the cot).I am attaching couple of photos of my first rc plane would be happy to hear views on flight construction and its ability to fly.

Some of the design deviation from the original plan was :

I used a bicycle spoke (4MM dia) instead of barbecue sticks to support the wing and get a good dihedral angle.Even though the CG is well balance with the battery,Will this cause any problem?

I have added a landing gear to add more weight.

And finally where do RC lovers in chennai fly and test their creations,i am staying in Ashok Nagar and would love to hear some places in and around Chennai city(25Kms- 30Kms radius).I just have a 300mAh pack:-) Lipo.

People often fly electrics near their home in any open ground and nitros in Sholavaram field.
BTW, is this a 2S or a 3S setup. own design or from plans..

Thanks for best wishs. I took the plan from mikesrc.com. the very basic trainer with 3S battery.. She is charm to drive around our office car park like auto with wings. Never had the guts to pull the throttle lever and make it fly. Hopefully this weekend must her date with the sky. Looking forward for it.:-)
