We used to interact a lot with John D'Cruz who used to be in India's Hobby Centre in Delhi (1979-1981) and would be present at Safdarjung Airfield or Polo Grounds where Delhi RC enthusiasts would fly. He was a total mine of information on any topic regarding Aeromodelling. I would request any one having information about him to please share.

Similarly, I am desperately seeking my old friend Mr. Tapan Dutta of IHC Kolkata. He taught me the basics of aeromodelling and was a constant source of inspiration. Can someone let me have his phone number/address? I believe he still stays in Behala, Kolkata and is probably into Architectural Modelling also. I last met him in the year 2000.

Try Facebook?
FB and Orkut are fast becoming a scary place as more and more Mom-Pop-Aunt's are joining it!
But I suspect such Senior people joining FB so often. Still give your try. How about reaching people like Mr Rishi who owned IHC ? I know its not a good time now due to the recent loss in the Family, but some time later.
Other veterans like Capt Manish, Mr Sanjeev can also help here as they are still in touch with many of these old time

Seems like he is no more involved in IHC because i have been visiting IHC from mid 2008 and the only people i find there is Palash, Rishi sir and 2 salesman, who have no idea about Aeromodelling.

LOL... if you don't put a 'Lil' comma in the required places, and you change the entire meaning off the sentence.

Perhaps it is hard to find people from bygone days when you have phone numbers and address changing frequently. Try finding older local club people or flyers. If not IHC staff, some of them might have some clue. If many renowned Cricketers and Film actors go in oblivion after a while, R/C is but an oblivious hobby itself.

:giggle: :giggle: ;D ;D Sorry my mistake. BTW i managed to find the website of India's Hobby Centre. I visited their shop a few days back but it was closed maybe due to the sad demise of Mr. Suresh Kumar.
