Title: One good deed deserves another
Post by: K K Iyer on March 27, 2014, 09:22:42 PM
Hi everyone,
A few days back, a member needed a C clip for motor shaft. So he posted a Wanted msg.
An LHS responded.
I was shocked that the price was Rs 40 + 49 postage.
Then a member (vinayb1984) found packets of 50 clips for Rs 15.
He sent them free to other members (rcpilotacro, flying brick and me)
I received them only today, and got a request from another member for a few. Will send tomorrow.
Members,
Let us congratulate vinayb1984 on starting a good deed.
He has set a good precedent.

A big thanks to vinayb1984 and Iyer sir. These are things are very rare to find and then cost plus shipping cost is very much... Great effort by vinay... :hatsoff:

I would like to Thank Tanmay (Umayash1) for getting a huge stock of Good quality rubber bands and Shrink Wraps from local resources.    {:)} {:)} :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

Here while going around Jalandhar Market I came across source for Methanol, Ether, Castor Oil and NitroMethane. NitroMethane was in limited supply I could manage only 500ml and that too for @  :Rs: 1100/-  was a costly buy. But Ether and methanol was reasonable buy. All Pure lab grade.  ;D

Any one interested in getting Ether for his diesel blend can seek assistance. Will attempt shipping by DTDC Surface.

@sundaram sir,
Could you possibly send me 200 litres of nitromethane?
Eh, make that 200 MILLI litres.
Haven't flown my glow for a year, as she has a 1996 Super Tigre 40 that flames out on straight fuel.
1.5% nitro borrowed fro Harveer did the trick, but probably needs 5%.
200 cc last me a while...

We need more good friends like Vinay... Well what I feel is that most vendors here in India are making hay when the sunshines....  I am also buying the C-clip for Rs 45 as it is not available anywhere i.e. where I could find it.  Secondly I was looking for a Turnigy Nano 2200mAH battey costing some USD16 at HK... it is being sold for Rs 2200 + by Indian sellers...

We needs some Indian manufacturers to sept in fast..

Happy Flying.

Iyer Sir

Good gesture of mentioning it, however why i avoid mentioning the same in public is Good Samaritan should not get bombed by request by many, some of whom join the forum only for freebees.

So Before mentioning it in public i think we should consult the Good Samaritan.

PS
vinayb1984 thanks a million, like i PMed you :)

Hello Sir,
Yes till now I'd not received that parcel. Twice, I visited the local post office and also asked the postmen delivering in this region. They have no signs of it till now. Lets hope for it to come some day.

:hatsoff:

Yeah, he's a nice person. He sent me a bunch of stepper motors for free! Thanks to him, I am now happily building a XY table for a laser. :D
