It is nice to be missed! I owe the forum an apology for having been absent for quite a while. Ever since we moved into our own home (after decades of rented addresses), it has been one thing after another. The entire house is being renovated bottom upwards and I have been left with hardly any breathing space. The entire house was flooded, following incessant rain, the day after we shifted. Most of the household effects were still packed in cartons and could not be salvaged in time. A lot of sentimental, priceless items were destroyed that day.

Add to that a minor surgery that almost became major (let's not elaborate on that here) I have been swamped. Swamped did I say? That's rather literal as you will see from the photographs and the link. While I may be busy, I have been enjoying myself to the hilt. Pride of ownership is secondary as compared to the results achieved. I have let my creativity run amok.

This is our new garden pond under construction and features a Japanese Shishi Odoshi fountain. Have a look at the video:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=myG3SSUzD3I&feature=youtu.be&hd=1

Regrettably, I have nothing to contribute to the forum right now as all modelling/RC equipment has been packed away into a 1000 sq. ft. Flat (that I have rented) and it will be turned into my studio in the near future.

With all the happiness, there is some tragedy too. Many of my models, most notably my PT 109 boat, have been severely damaged during the shift and it is going to be back to the drawing board with them.

It's good to be back and thanks for the honour of dedicating a thread in my honour! I would also like to introduce you to Master Chocolate and Miss Patchy who have adopted us into their family.

Cheers! :hatsoff:

MOD EDIT
youtube link fixed

@VC Sir,
Such a fantastic house!
Please spare a cushion each for Chocolate and Patchy.
Wish you well.
Regards.

BTW, what happened to that carpeted room full of aero bits at one time?

K.K. Sir, if you look at the picture of Chocolate and Patchy, you will notice that they are sitting on cane chairs partially submerged in water. That was the catastrophic day of floods, and they were the only ones who were 'high and dry'. All cushions had been washed away and were found beyond repair the day after!

The 'carpeted room full of aero bits' was probably our older residence, which we have now given up.

rajjaiswal92 - thank you Sir!

johnywalker8pm - keep on walking!

Neil - thanks a ton.

Gusty Bhai - The PT 109 will be salvaged, but the entire super structure will have to be rebuilt from scratch. If you remember the detailing, especially of the 50 Cal turrets, it is a daunting task. Hey hey hey - thanks for fixing the youtube link. Much obliged Captain!

Hello VC

Welcome back !! A big congratulations to you on the new house. I know the feeling of owning one is just beyond words. Sad to hear about the rains and your subsequent damage of models. However, being witness to your craftsmanship skills, I am sure the models will be restored to original glory.

The pond is beautiful and the sound of the bamboo hitting the stone is like a one note symphony. On a side note when you hear a sound resembling a mini machine gun going off when you zoom in or out, its time to change the camera or at-least the lens barrel.
