How come the sudden revival  of the interest on these 'handles' thing after about almost one year ??!! Eight posts in a day.... Now my two bits.... Dr S Raja Gopal (SRG) - simply put, essaargee what my students used to call me in college.

@Girish sir, if in case you never knew this, "sarwal" is a term more like "Sir" used in the pre-independence period in tamilnadu to denote honourable people.

In Olden tamil movies you can see these terms.
Big shots like M.G.R, shivaji and M.R Radha are royal familes that junior artist fear them to call anything apart from "sarwal" even for the sake of movie script.
