Li-Ion battery packs is what the current thinking is.
Volume is being made available in the fuselage to accomodate the size.
But then again ...reality is another thing altogether.
All thinking is towards MAKING IT HAPPEN.
Let's take the conversation from that point

Wow this is very Innovative. This should have really low drag once the entire boat lifts on water... Maybe adding a water prop at that point will make it faster.

Original had a Cox 0.020. I'm trying to see if a 8520 motor  1S battery , E20 timer, with1300 mm prop with reduction gear will give sufficient power.
