Well, the title says it all. As an after office activity we are developing a turbocharger jet engine. I am not sure when this will finish but for sure its going to take a very long time!

BTW, I do not own this project but I will keep the progress updated here. Here what we have gathered for this project so far.

Today might be a great and wonderful day. It depends on you.

Its a turbo charger of a truck. The last one is an oil pump (of a 1000cc bike, I guess).

How much did it cost you to get the turbocharger??? {:)}

izmile

Not exactly sure. But this kind of used stuff sells for about Rs 4000 - 8000 in ebay.

Hi izmile

oh now i get it...i worked in Mahindra for 1 year ...from what i know a brand new turbo costs easily upto 40000-80000  bucks. I thought you had put in that much money. Is it a vgt or sgt. I hope you are taking into account the most efficient rpm of the turbo if it is a sgt. ???

I do not think this turbo is variable geometry. It seems a simple one and I guess it should be the SGT type. One good thing is that it does not have the wastegate. One less work to do. BTW, how do you expand SGT? (static geometry?? or static guided turbine?? or something else)
