I guess its time to build yet another bee from scratch. This is my second bee, hence christened "LAZY BEE V2"

Inspiration
Originally designed by  Clancy Aviation as a Balsa Kit, then immortalized in RCG as a scratchbuilt foamie, then successfully built and flown by a couple of buddies in the RCINDA forum http://www.rcindia.org/self-designed-diy-and-college-projects/another-scratch-built-(lazy-bee)/

Plans, Pics and a wealth of other info available here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=828620

So you are just starting ? :)

It would help if you post pictures at various stages of the build, and provide details on the material being used (including smaller details like what glue etc).

Dear Anwar,
I actually started a week ago, it's almost half way through.
Build Material is a combination of biofoam 3mm - single side laminated, EPS, and Coroplast.
The fuselage is biofoam, the monoblock is EPS, the tail feathers are coro.
I've used coro for the tail feathers because they are quite tough, very very easy to work with and design, the downside being the weight. wing span is 100cm, length is 85cm, auw is planned at 650g. I have a spare 1050kv 175w(  :headscratch: )BL motor and 1800mah 25c lipo and 30A ESC for the electricals. Prop is a 10x4 slowflyer, servos are the 9g ones (all electricals from rcforall purchased almost a year back)
Will post pics soon once resized down from 2.5mb to something manageable.

 and about the glue,
I use a synthetic rubber adhesive which is very cheap - Fevicol brand(pic attached) to glue coro, eps, the credit card I used for the firewall and also the laminated sides of biofoam. I eats foam like anything, so anywhere requiring direct contact with foam, I use the normal fevicol if the time taken to dry is not an issue or else I use foam safe CA. Ideally I guess CA is good........ jus a matter of economics. I try to keep the cost as small as possble.
The TX and Rx is the 4 channel setup from HK. Using it for the past year and a half, absolutely no issues.

Here is the monoblock made of EPS. Nothing fancy, just four layers of 0.5 inch totaling 2 inches incorporating space for the battery, servos ESC and the Rx. The third pic shows the servo connections. Pushrods are construction binding wires from the hardware store. The battery can be loaded from the top. The battery bay is positioned way in the front to move the cg up front as the model tends to be a bit tail heavy because of the coro tail feathers.

The control surfaces are connected and the trims on the fuse completed. I connected the control horn for the elevator inside the fuse but on hindsight it seems like a pretty dumb idea as it is quite difficult to adjust. The trims on the fuse are all coloured packing tape. It's the reverse colour scheme of the original bee trims.

People, now I need some ideas.......
What material should I use for the wing....... The Biofoam that I have is too brittle that I believe I'll end up with a broken wing even before I end up at the field. I'm wondering if I can use coro for the wing as well like this: made by our forum member 'R C'. I would like to make an underchambered wing with some dihedral. Any and all suggestions are welcome. Thanx
