Frankly I shouldn't be calling this a build thread as I could not capture the build process. This project has been stalled as I have been flashing the wrong Hex image in to the PIC16F84 MCU. This tester has been published in Elecktor electronics and the PCB layout / Hex code are freely available on their site.
Features:
a. Input volatage of 8-15v (3s Lipo friendly)
b. No of servo : 1
c. Interface Buttons: i. Mode(Sweep/position) ii. Up iii.Down. Center when no button pressed.
Build Difficulty Level : Medium (Needs PIC programmer/PCB fabrication know how)
MCU: PIC16f84
Project URL: http://www.elektor.com/magazines/2006/july/rc-servo-tester-exerciser.58302.lynkx?tab=2
Here is the tester in action

The tester is giving jitters on the extreme down end, which I need to debug (anyone having a CRO in BLR please help)
Some closeups (Taken with Canon 20D /Tamron 90mm f/2.8 1:1 Macro with DIY pop-up flash diffuser)
nice job from where did u get the switch ? how much ?
the jitter may be because of the servo ! also how is the servo powered (i mean do the servo n micro-controller share the same line?)

Thanks Sahil. appreciation from a DIY electronics guy like you encourages for the adventures in the Mixing these two hobbies.
The whole project is under Rs 150:
PIC18f84 : Rs 80
Switches : Rs 15 @Rs 5/piece
XTL : Rs 5
Ressitors/Capacitors/LED : Rs 30
7805 Regulator : Rs 8
Sahil, I got those switches from Arihant Electronics, SP Road Bangalore. I might visit there next week so could get for you. I have 3 spare switches lying with me which I can send you (hope normal post would be fine!)
