This is not trick photography and the tri is not that big...this is just that the tri is closer to the guy who shot this photo  :giggle:

i agree with bokilap,
Actually, the camera has been set to infinite focus, and the flying machine is much closer to camera than the guys.As a rule, things closer look bigger.
Secondly, if it has been close to them, there might have been its shadow casted as well along with that of those people sitting there.
I can take off and fly well. Its landing which sucks :banghead::banghead:

No need for complications... just look at the size of the Motor/ESC/Battery/DeansConnector etc, and one can easily guesstimate the size of the tri, and realize that it is fairly standard.

Not trick photography but shot with a long focal length (tele) lens. This foreshortens perspective and makes distant objects appear nearer.

Tele lenses (with higher focal lengths) definitely give a compressed look in portraits, but this is not the case here.
The distance between the tri and the guys is quite a few meters. The distance of the tri from the shooter is less compared to that. If higher focal lenghs is used in this case, the depth of field would have been a lot less which would throw the guys out of focus as opposite to what it appears to be in the pic.

This is just a standard focal length used (close to 35mm) with smaller aperture. This gives a comparitively larger DOF and so everyone is in focus and hence the illusion.

I think nothing is 'thought of' here before taking the pic and you will see this just by using a point and shoot camera (compact cameras) in Auto mode.

This just happened and is not pre-planned or anything.

Ok so the guy who is flying is David the guy from Rcexplorer.se .
this pic was taken after they (flitetest guys and David)had built a new Fpv antenna for the video Tx visible in the pic.
