Title: DIY Hovercraft
Post by: ved on June 02, 2013, 08:31:17 PM
Hey Guys..
Its raining here in Goa so I cannot fly anything. So intended to build a hovercraft. It's design is simple. The base is made out of thermocol and the skirt is some sort of plastic sheet. It is powered by two 1000 kv motors and 2200mah battery. The turning system if the yaw system from my old tricopter. It is very easy to build and fun to play around. Actually I call it version 2 as earlier this year I had build one for my brother. He had some competition and won 1st prize for the same. It's a whole lot of fun playing around with it. It is a bit difficult to control but if you put on a gyro then it will be fantastic. i am planning to connect it with my HK KK v2 board. Lets see if it works. Here are some pics. Video coming soon.

Nice Ved.
Btw, Why use a KK2 when you can connect one ESC to the pot channel and the other to the usual channel 3....

No. I mean for the yaw control. Turning the hovercraft on high speed is a bit difficult. It turns too much. Hence intending to use the KK board.
